You need to eat at The White Horse pub. Yes. If you are going to Orcas Island, you need to stop here for a meal or a drink. June 2025, on the island 3 nights, so far 2 meals at the White Horse. Chicken pot pie, fish and chips, Irish stew, bacon cheeseburger, fries, onion rings, salad. Could not have asked for better. Two different waiters. Both raised the bar on my standards. One more day on Orcas. One more meal at the White Horse. Did I mention the view?
What a view! The food was solid Irish pub fare (we had the fish and chips and a salad) and the Guinness was poured to perfection. I sadly have forgotten our bartenders name, but he had a great sense of humor and made us feel welcome straight away. We also had fun playing the games set out by the bar near the window. A great way to kick off our trip to Orcas Island
Such a fun place with good food! We got the calamari, I got the crab melt, clam chowder and husband got the chicken pot pie. All the food was very delicious! I really loved the calamari! My husband also got the cream soda and loved it! Our server was super friendly - he called everyone “friend” and answered my silly questions about whales. It was a great experience and we even saw a sea lion! This place also accommodates larger groups! There was a group of 12 also in the restaurant....
