We tried this place last night, and it was amazing! The restaurant is small with limited seating, and we had to wait several minutes, but it was definitely worth the wait! The food here is more regional based from the southern area of Mexico called Oaxaca. This is not the same as most of the other Mexican restaurants more commonly found here. You will notice right away by the menu that it is a little different but similar at the same time. We were a party of 5 and had a Burrito that was huge, Enchaladas Verdes that was the best I've tasted, Chicken Mole which was absolutely incredible, and a chicken Chilies Rellenos which was equally delicious! Our server was also the bartender, and the entire staff was friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a unique Mexican restaurant with a different regional flavor, come try this place, and you will not be disappointed!

We went to this place because it was in the neighborhood we were house shopping in. It has a very different kind of menu. But let me tell you the food was Excellent!!! We had an appetizer that was made with chorizo and potatoes that had fresh cabbage chopped on top and very fresh spicy and delicious salsa on the side. They had a bar but no beers on tap. They have a decent selection of beers in the bottle at reasonable prices. We had 4 beers in total. After the appetizer we shared a "wet" burrito that was truly amazing! We got half Verde sauce and the mole chocolate sauce. These sauces were incredible!! They were fresh and delicious!! I can't even accurately describe how delicious they were. Everything was freshly made and perfect. The veggies in the burrito and the rice in it were perfect. The only downfall is this place is small. But they clearly work hard to bring you excellent food they care about.

The food is so delicious and authentic Oaxacan food. Really good. Skip those other places and come here instead. I only wish the place was bigger. Service is friendly and kind.

Casa Oaxaca is a gem hidden away on Bowdoin. Impeccable high quality, well seasoned food and great service. Free chips and coloradito or mole sauce when you sit down is a nice touch. House marg is great. We always get the tostadas, campesano wings, chicken tortilla soup and enchiladas. Even their kids chicken is hand breaded and amaaaazing.
Kid-friendliness: Kids menu has 5 items. Well made food. Our kid ate everything.

I will return now that I found Casa Oaxaca and have already recommended them to friends. It turns out, most everyone I know in Edmonds replied "They're great! We eat there all the time." I had a wonderful lunch with a Mole sauce to die for.

One of the best Mexican restaurants I’ve ever been to. If the birria quesadilla is on offer you simply must order it! Friendly staff and prompt service!
