Food was very good, american style menu which had great options. Service was OK. Very friendly, nice servers, just not very attentive at 15-20 without a refill or stopping by to check. Great atmosphere, about 2 blocks from the water with peekaboo views of the sound from a few seats in the restaurant. Recommend!

Meh, nothing to write home about. Took awhile to get served, so my partner flagged down the waitress serving coffee, turns out she was our waitress but made us continue to wait while getting us some cups, and leaving again before taking our order. While the restaurant had 9 mentions of chanterelle on its menu, none of these house specials had chanterelles. I had the Crab Benedict, with eggs, medium poached, which were perfect. The hollandaise sauce was delicious. I had expected lump crab not crab cakes, but it was clearly stated on the menu. Always read the fine print. The waitress never checked back with me about why I had asked for a menu until the meal was over. A serving of fresh fruit meant one slice of orange, perhaps, why they heaped a bunch of potato on my plate (not mentioned on the menu) which I didn't want. For those with a sweet tooth, my partner thought the French toast special with strawberries, bananas, Devonshire cream, Nutella drizzle, and maple syrup was perfect. Too sweet for me. The coffee for the two of us was a disappointment at $8. More like the watery Denny's coffee of my youth. A breakfast sin. If you don't like excessively loud restaurants, this place is not for you. Delicious bits to the breakfast, a bit short in service.

Sometimes traditional and simple is exactly what you need. Chanterelle is what I would call a classic breakfast/ diner restaurant. It's located in cozy Downtown Edmonds and we came in for Sunday breakfast. As soon as we came in we were greeted in a very friendly manner and led to our table. At 9am, it was relatively quiet and became busier as time went on. A good variety of people, age wise. It has the kind of calm atmosphere that you want for a nice breakfast and or date.We had the Salmon Benedict and Greek omelet, both were delicious and the portion size was just right for us.

Elderflower mimosa was delicious! Came here because one of the members of our party likes the clam chowder here. Tomato bisque was good. Friendly server.

Vegetarian options: items are marked on the menu, includes breakfast and lunch options

Listen, service is great. Stick to breakfast, and you can't go wrong! I ordered a salad with citrus dressing. I didn't know a salad could be bad. Absolutely zero citrus in the dressing. Whoever is in the kitchen is afraid of seasoning. That chicken was so pale and zero seasoning. Then they brought out this blue cheese dressing.... the nerve... it ran like water, lol! But the shine at breakfast! I will go back and try that. Server was wonderful and good at her job.

Quintessential PNW comfort food place!!Every time we dine here, food is consistentlyFresh, tasty, flavorful without being overly greasy or saltyFor today’s brunch, we ordered Greek style Omelette and Swedish pancakesThe omelette tastes great full of artichokes and olivesPan fried potato however is a bit too wet for my tasteSwedish pancake is the BEST imho in the Luger sound region, trumping over Portage Bay cafe. The Devonshire cream accompanying it is just absolutely delicious with the cake & the loaded fresh strawberries!

Today I lunched at this fine spot in downtown Edmonds and had just the best lunch. Half a sandwich with a cup of soup and a cup of good coffee. All were delicous and the tomato bisque is worth showing up for all by itself. Just right. Service was warm and prompt and very professional. Everything was as it should be and I'll be back soon. My lunch conpanion felt the same about her meal and we can hardly wait to try other menu items. Thank you to the telented staff at Chanterelle.

Wow. All 8 of us walked in hoping there would be a table. The table was quickly set for us in an already full restaurant. It meant a lot that the abundant number of staff were 'over the top' pleasant and friendly which says a lot with 3 messy children all 6 yrs old and under. Best of all was the food. High-end food and cooks with delicious and generous portions. Mmm. Lots of take home. Chanterelle restaurant turned out to be the best kept secret of Edmonds, Wa.

Me and my daughters new favorite cafe. Close to the beach, with really great pancakes and coffee. My 5yo daughter says "they were so nice" about the wait staff.

Really fresh ingredients in the omelette. Solid Bloody Mary. Veggies in deli sandwich were chopped too big to eat easily. Bustling and friendly atmosphere. Would recommend to anyone.

The wild salmon is great. Very fresh and testy. Black and blue tuna is very creative.

Absolutely amazing place! I had the lemon ricotta pancakes and the blood orange mimosa and they were both so delicious. Our waitress was so sweet and attentive! We'll definitely be back when in the area! :)

We walked here from the marina for Sunday brunch. We read the reviews and thought we’d give it a chance and we were so happy that we did. All of our meals were excellent and the service was just as good. Next time we’re in Edmonds we will definitely come back.
