Mom? You home?....wait I thought when stumbled in this place it felt so familiar and comfortable that I had time warped back home. Click your heals three times and head to the Pantry it's (as Andy Griffith used to say) real goood.A year goes by and we're tentatively still fanz, a new crew has taken the helm and is offering a dinner menu now. Word is they plan to move the vibe south over time. Chilaquiles would be nice.I know you're not reading this, so I'll be brief. I think its fair to speculate if not for covid the Pantry would be steaming on today. But its not and thats a shame. Shots are going into arms, kids are beginning to get thier vaccinations too. Sacrifices are winning over successes in the restaurant community, drive up windows will probably proliferate going forward. Lets hope the little hole in the wall places where "everybody knows your name" come back. Without church or clubs, pubs or large families in your life...you got the favorite corner table in the neighborhood dish.
I used to recommend this place to everyone because the service was consistently amazing! However, I just went in for the first time since the management changed over and I was super bummed with how we were treated. I told the host that there were 4 of us and he ended up mistaking two people that walked in after us as part of our group and seated them instead. That’s fine. It happens. Because of that, I approached the hostess standing at the check stand to make sure we were still acknowledged to be waiting for a seat since there’s a lot of people standing and waiting to pay at the front. She ROLLED her eyes at me and told me to just sit wherever. That seemed weird to me so I went and approached the guy who mistakenly seated the other couple, and he straight ignored me. At no point was I rude, but after that, I left because I felt so uncomfortable and unwelcome. Again, I’ve never had a bad experience with this place and it was like a slap in the face to be treated so poorly here.
We show up to try the food under a new owner! We get a seat drink order taken and 10 min later put in a food order. 4 setsof customers come in get seated and order..This to say the least is sad...We put in a simple order omelet and one of the specials on Sunday. Everyone single one of those 4 setsof couples gets food first is mouth dropping! The waitress says "it's coming up soon" it should've been up already! I leave $4 for 2 cokes. All the waitress sad was let them go! It's your fault we left! So the first and only visit to this place!
Good standard breakfast fare at reasonable prices. Kind of a throwback and one of my favorite breakfast spots in town.
Hidden little gem in Edmonds. Service was a little hectic and a couple request were delayed or forgotten but the food itself was great! Generous portions for reasonable price
Cute old fashion family-style diner. They have mimosas and pie, so you cant go wrong there. The servers are all very friendly. Sometimes there is a bit of a wait on Sundays due to the after church crowd. The Italian sausage patty is worth it. Drew is the best server ever and her eyeshadow is on fleek.
We had the best burgers! The new owners have the same menu, plus a Mexican menu! The people are friendly, the place is clean. Good job!
The food is okay. We didn't wait too long to get sat which was nice. My dad got sick from his breakfast, it was a little too oily for him. If you have a sensitive stomach, I wouldn't recommend.
Been coming here for years. The Benedict is my absolute favorite. Great service and great food. Never disappoints.
My husband and I love stopping in here for breakfast! The portions and prices are fantastic, and the service is great. I don't think we've ever come across someone here who wasn't friendly. Be prepared on weekends for this place to be pretty busy.

su magnífica atención y su rica comida
I love Colonial Pantry. It is more and more difficult to find down home, local cafes that serve great food... not foodie food, but the type of food, foodie places make as comfort food at a higher price. It has been through various owners but has been around forever...at least 30+ years. It’s real, it’s local, it’s great.
Good food, Great Service, Good Prices.
Always decent diner food but I think most come for the hostess's banter! She's hilarious!
