In overall, foods were great! And the parking lot was enough for the large group, but the restaurant need more insulations at the bbq side because It's getting cold sooner.

Small and cozy dining area. We had seafood pancake, seafood soup with clear broth, and fish soup with red broth. The waitress helped us order

I love going to Korean restaurants and I really wanted this one to be fantastic, but I gotta say it came across as average
Food wise, my wife had japchae and I had bulgolgi. In both cases, not the most flavorful we've ever had. However, the biggest issue is with my dish as the meat was very thick and little tendons were still in place, so it basically was just one big piece of meat. It was tender, but the thickness made chewing just a bit more of an exercise. Portion size was about average. On the plus side, the little side dishes were all very tasty
I will point out that the vast majority of diners were having the Korean barbecue and I would like to try that to give the restaurant another opportunity to show off.
Atmosphere wise, it kind of has a feel of fast restaurant in that there is no real atmosphere. However, I don't let atmosphere tarnish a visit and it really had no impact on my overall review
Limited wait staff so yes, the wait can be a little longer than you might expect. It does seem like they do give priority to the Korean barbecue diners
Overall, it's worth it going to the try it out and as I said, we're probably going to go back and try the barbecue and hopefully that will give us an opportunity to edit the review and boost it a bit

Food was great with generous portions, and the service was excellent! When a menu item I requested wasn’t available, they were honest about it and offered great alternatives 🙏

The food was phenomenal!! I met with friends for dinner and the meal made the experience special. We felt lucky that we had found the place, full, happy and more connected to each other. I felt optimistic about the world again. That’s the magic of a truly great restaurant. Thank you to the chefs, waiters and owners!
Not sure why someone would complain about the atmosphere, it was charming and appropriate. If it looks the same as it did 12 years ago, that sounds like a win to me.

This place has the best Bossam I have ever had in North America. The meat is cooked to perfect tenderness, coupled with good kimchi and soil bean paste yummy! The fried chicken wings was also battered very deliciously. Overall, great food. Only small complaint I had would be they only had one server, he was so busy it was hard to get his attention sometimes but he was very polite and courteous. Great experience overall.
Always good food and good vibes here!

For me Gilson is among the best Korean BBQs in north Seattle, their skirt steak, pork intestines are really good. I like their bossam too.
If you are going here for the BBQ part suggest not. If you like to pick your own sides DO NOT go here, they do not do COMBOS. Waiter had great customer service that was only the good part. I’ve been to quite a few other places for the BBQ and unfortunately we will not be returning to this establishment sad to say.

Food is good. Recommend bossam and the peach drinks(with alcohol). Also the pig intestines. It is awesome without unpleasant taste.
One con is that the restaurant is very noisy. Everyone is talking really loudly and you can barely hear what your friend is saying.
Food is pretty good - they serve standard Korean dishes. The soybean paste soup is the best one I’ve had in a long time. Prices are decent. Service is on-par with the type of food they serve; the people are friendly. Kinda a hole in the wall feel of a restaurant. Banchan is a bit underwhelming; not much variety. But then again, can’t expect much given the type of standard food they serve.
Staff was very friendly and helpful! Food is delicious, healthy💕 i 100% reccomend this place. I will keep going there from now on!
My favorite Korean restaurant in town.
Ordered the soft tofu soup with kimchi, spicy seafood soup, and the half and half wings. Portions were big and all the food was delicious!! Really hit the spot on a rainy day. Also, our servers were very nice and gave excellent suggestions based on our tastes. We arrived at opening for dinner at 5pm and it was quite busy by 6pm on a Saturday. Added to my list of local favorites!
