I really hate to leave a poor review on a local business but our Valentine’s Day dinner may have been the worst experience I’ve had at a restaurant. We arrived on time for our reservation and we seated promptly but did not get addressed by anyone for 20 mins. Fine, it’s busy on VDay I understand somewhat but it only got worse. We had 2 cocktails which we could barely finish as they were too sweet and syrupy. The Caesar salad was drowning it what tasted like bottled sauce with a clearly old lemon and for some reason an orchid flower (in an Italian restaurant?) The garlic toast reminded us of frozen Texas toast and our pasta entrees were very small for the price and were so oily and tasteless we couldn’t finish those either. Never got out servers name as she came by about 3 times to get the order deliver the food and then the cheque and spoke all of 3 sentences to us. Altogether a very poor dining experience with a confused menu and poor quality from all we saw and tasted. Will not be back next year.

A friend and I had been a regular at Girardi's a few years ago. We were always highly satisfied with food and service. Last night was a deadpan dissappointment. I had pork and my friend had chicken. Both dishes meats were very overcooked. The meat was the main dish for both our plates! We told the waiter and he thanked us for feed back, with an under the breath comment, because we hadn't told them sooner he could offer us dessert ( both of us ate about a third of the meat, and we both ate that much as we had been working all day and were so hungry). We didn't eat anymore but the vegetables. When we went to order the desert, the waiter said he meant one dessert! Then said even though he would get into trouble he would bring us each one. This is a very different experience. Am so surprised we weren't offered the dinners made again, properly. No white table cloths seems to mean the restaurant is okay with serving people improperly prepared meals, unapologetically. Girardi's, there are too many very good restaurants like you used to be, for me to return. Just when I have become a resident of Edmonds😐

Abysmal.

I ordered the pork ossobuchini with wild mushroom linguine and simply asked "hold the sliced white mushrooms please, the dehydrated wild mushrooms on the pasta are fine." The meal comes out covered in the white mushrooms, so I say "I'm sorry, but I asked for this without white mushrooms." The server condescendingly replies "those are wild mushrooms". I say, "No. These are white mushrooms, they're also sliced, not finely chopped and definitely not rehydrated." She takes it back, then comes back with the menu saying "where did you see this comes with white mushrooms?" I point it out where it clearly says "then we add sliced white mushrooms for the 'palate'." She says "well that's not very clear." It was clear enough to me to ask you to simply not add them. After more waiting, another dish comes out, with no mushrooms at all, not even the wild mushrooms that provide the basis of the flavor of the dish, leaving it entirely bland. To add insult to injury, while the first incorrect dish did only come with two small shanks of pork for $27, this bland also incorrect replacement had one so small it was only half size of the others.

I normally refrain from leaving bad reviews but this place floored me with its incompetence. Not only does their wait staff not know their own menu, but apparently neither does the kitchen. And they tried covering for this by gaslighting me. Unacceptable.

Unnecessarily cranky wait person. Not a soul in the place, but person rushed us to the table & didn't seem at all to be happy about her job. Menu a bit large, which makes it tough to do very much well. Just mediocre at best. Much better Italian in the area.

Italian theme restaurant. No Italian bread, Cesar salad had a drizzle of a creamy dressing and the Osso Bucco was like none I have ever had (and not in a good way) The meat was fine though not fall off the bone. The problem was it came in a cream sauce (this is not Osso Bucco!) the sauce was bland and not good.
Service was OK, the space unremarkable, I have no need to return.

We used to really love this place but the food quality and atmosphere has really taken a turn. It’s very over priced for the quality. A few items were clearly microwaved. I wish we would have left when we noticed the signs on all the tables offering a free Italian Soda for a good review.

I really enjoyed my visits to Girardi’s. They offer small and large sizes for many dishes, which is very thoughtful, and their pasta sauces are creative and flavorful. I particularly liked the chicken parmesan with mixed sauce and the lobster ravioli. The mushroom ravioli has a great deal, too! They know how to season each dish perfectly, and I can't wait to try more. It’s a hidden gem in Edmonds!

Had a wonderful dinner tonight to celebrate my husband’s birthday! Stephanie did a great job being our server! This is a well established place with lots of return customers !!l

Dietary restrictions: I am lactose intolerant and when my husband had complementary dessert Stephanie found some milk free candy for me!!

Flies aside (we sat in the covered patio area), the setting in Edmonds was nice. All downhill from there. I think my husband just left a review as well so won't go into details, but suffice it to say, what was supposed to be a romantic 30+ year anniversary celebration was ruined by this place. My husband now is eating crackers and leftover salmon at home because he would have to doctor up his barely touched gorgonzola polenta a lot to make it edible. Low points: 1-Gorgonzola has a strong flavor so that even if you were to put in just one crumb, you would taste it. It's as if they forgot to put any of the cheese in the dish and just used cream. 2- Our $6 bread basket came out steaming hot and soft (think microwaved). 3- The meat in my gnocchi bolognese had a strong flavor which made me think it wasn't so fresh. 4-Red wine sangria was ridiculously sweet (-end?). 5-Grated cheese was also tasteless. Was never asked how the food was- it's as if they already knew the answer and didn't care. Lastly, online info indicates a happy hour until 6pm. Got there about 5:40 maybe, but no happy hour menu was offered. Such a disappointment on a special night.

worst meal in a very long time. poor service, tasteless, inauthentic, awful food. even the basket of bread (which they charge extra for) was terrible & appeared to be heated in the microwave. zero stars. avoid this place and go up the road to bucatini for something good.

The pasta was very average and way too oily, and the wait time is long despite not a lot of people, appetizers were decent

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Girardi's Osteria. The food was wonderful, the service excellent and the ambiance comfortable. My wife said her martini was one of the best she's had, and they have cannolis on the dessert menu! We've already made Girardi's a favorite place to eat. We're planning on checking out their happy hour soon.
