I love the jokbal at kangs, big portion and fair price, it’s a gem.

So happy a dedicated jokbal/bossam restaurant opened. The jokbal I ordered was delicious, with the proper fragrance and seasoningThe single serving was huge, more than enough for two people. Three people would satisfied with extra lettuce, garlic, shrimp sauce, and samjang. They didn’t try to deceive with a lot of bones. Service is fast, packaging was somewhat eco friendly with paper instead of plastic.

Best take-out bossam in town 🙃
Ordered a day before for a pick up on Sunday lunchtime. The front told us that they take order for 1 person, 3 people, etc (so not for 2 people) so we (2 people) ordered amount for 3 people.
It was ready by the time we arrived. The order included bossam, ssamjang, salted shrimp condiment, and fresh lettuces. The front lady gave us two free sodas as service for newcomers 🥤
The quantity was enough for two hungry adults! Even though it was take out, the quality was on par with bossam you get from dining in at different places.

Both pig’s feet and pork belly are great. Their kimchi is also very good.

The lady at the front counter is very kind and welcoming. The bossam and jokbal were ready in about 10 minutes. While I’ve had better, this place is decent for Seattle. I wish the bossam pieces were smaller and softer, as some were quite large and a bit dry. If I lived here, I would likely return.

My favorite jokbal and bossam place in the north Seattle metro! This is my go to spot for takeout — the jokbal and bossam are of high quality and the closest I’ve had to the ones I had in Korea. Both of the meats come with lettuce leaves, mumallaengi (seasoned dried radish), garlic/jalapeño slivers, ssamjang, and the salty shrimp sauce (forgot the name). I spent about $45 for a combo bossam/jokbal box that could feed 2 extremely hungry people or 3-4 folks who don’t have enormous appetites!
The mumallaengi (seasoned dried radish is really really good) too!
Vegetarian options: There are no vegetarian options. If you want vegetarian food, why are you going to a jokbal / bossam restaurant? ?

Hands down the most delicious pork belly and kimchi. The pork belly has an amazing flavor and is so tender, it almost melts. Only kimchi I've ever had that I like. It's so fresh and crunchy, the pork belly + rice + kimchi= flavor and texture perfection.

When I lived in Korea, I enjoyed pig's feet about twice a month, but after immigrating to the U.S., I forgot the taste of pig's feet and found it again at Gang Jokbal. Even by Korean Jokbal taste standards, this is a great restaurant.

I thought a lot about whether to go or not because it was too far away, but it was so delicious, the service was the best, the pig trotters didn't have any smell, and the Korean pig trotters themselves were super soft, and the portion size was larger than I expected, enough for 2 people. I drove for almost an hour and I don't regret it. Next time, I'll go back to eat bossam^^

It doesn't have the characteristic pig's feet smell and is chewy and very delicious. Even my sons, who are picky eaters, really like it.
