As a restaurant owner I must admit great ambience, service and food aren’t always available at the same place. I was born in Kyoto and love Japanese food. It’s our go to and they’re also open for lunch!
Stay rad!

I love this place. All the food was delicious and the vibe gets real fun at 8 for happy hour.
My only note would be if you don’t love spice ask for light wasabi on the nigiri. I love spice so I had no problem, my partner will ask for less next time 😂

Overall the food was fresh but want to point out some items that can improve the quality of this place.
Dined during late happy hour into dinner, therefore mainly had happy hour menu items.
Pricing of the happy hour menu was not as affordable for the amount of food you receive - 5 piece sushi set - $18 - it needs to be exceptional, but did not meet my standards. Fish was fine, rice was fine, but a tad too much wasabi (real would be fine, but usually they are a mixture of horseradish/mustard) between the rice and fish.
I tried to scrap the wasabi off the remaining nigiri pieces, but this was when a fish scale was discovered also - that's ok, this can happen.
Wasabi (horseradish/mustard) - half that was served were dry and started to transform into a hard clay material.
Chicken Karaage - not juicy and was dry.
Rolls - Ok portions and not overly sauced which made it good - IMO rolls should not be drenched in sauce.
Uni was the highlight - at an expensive rate for a 2 piece, the quality was delivered. Fresh with right amount of rice and the nori had a crunch. This was prepared very well (attention to the nori was excellent).
Overall, happy hour menu shouldn't decrease in quality for the small portions and pricing.

I meant to take a picture of the food when it came out but I got too excited and forgot until it was almost gone. Always really fresh fish and good service. Happy hour is the time to go! Try the Jason roll!

Incredible! Easily the best sushi I’ve had in Seattle area and totally worth the trip!! I’d highly recommend making a reservation just to be sure you get a table. Everything we had was absolutely wonderful (no photos because we ate it all before I remembered to take pictures). We enjoyed a variety of dishes including the shishito peppers, Black Cod, Sushi Omakase, along with a variety of other sushi and sashimi. The fish is so wildly fresh, I could have kept eating beyond my level of discomfort from being so full. The service was amazing, the place feels like somewhere other than Seattle suburbs also which was a nice change of pace. It’s a very non de script location, being in a strip mall, but boy oh boy are you missing out if you pass this place up. If I lived closer I would easily be here on a weekly basis.

I had such a lovely dinner with my boyfriend at Kazoku in Edmonds. The chicken katsu was perfectly crispy, the matcha salt fries were so unique and delicious, and New Zealand salmon nigiri was incredibly fresh. My boyfriend ordered the Omakase and every piece of nigiri was excellent and high quality.
A big thank you to the kind host and our wonderful server Keith for making us feel so welcome and for recommending a sake that paired beautifully with the meal. The food, service, and cozy atmosphere made for a truly special evening. Love the vibes during happy hour as well!
Can’t wait to come back!

I went here because of the high reviews but this place was on the lower end of sushi restaurants. The king salmon sashimi was just okay that you roll was pretty good but the Jason role was actually terrible. The tuna on the inside was stale and slightly Brown on one side making it inedible. There is no way you should be serving that to your customers.

We adore this place and come here regularly for lunch. However they changed their chief recently and the food is horrible. The chiai, hara and senue part of the fish are not even removed from our sashimi.
