We had the BEST time eating breakfast here. Their homemade hot sauce and coffee cakes are worth the trip alone. Drip coffee had a wonderful flavor and brewed perfectly. Eggs Benedict is my favorite thing on the menu, specifically the California one. Extra thick Canadian bacon is a must.

Edmonds is wonderful. This cafe not so much. Greeter was a snob. I ordered a Belgian Waffle which they charged me for (one) About $15.00. It was like a frozen waffle from a box. Ordered mine with pecans which I had maybe six of. Awful. My companions breakfast sandwich was soggy .
Restaurant was very crowded and noisy. Sad place for the great city of Edmonds. Will never be back and refer no one.

My husband and I have walked past this place several times in the evenings and said we wanted to try it sometime, so I was thrilled when my bestie picked it as the place for me to take her to her birthday lunch. There was no wait and we were seated right away. The server came by quickly with a platter of coffee cake, which we declined, to ask if we would like to order drinks and ask if we had any questions about the menu. I have some food allergies and such so asked about a couple of ingredients that weren't spelled out on the menu. He said he'd ask the kitchen. Was back in a moment to take our order, hadn't asked yet. Came back 2 more times to take our order, still hadn't asked about those ingredients. The fourth time he came back to take our order he told me that the ingredients were proprietary and the kitchen would not share them with me. Was actually quite rude about it with kind of a how dare you hassle me about this attitude. Taken aback I ordered something I considered safe. Honestly I could have left then. The food was meh (brought some of it home and my husband agreed), not worth the price. My friend's coffee was spilled all over the plate/table when it was delivered and they never cleaned it up, and never brought us extra napkins that we requested to mop it up ourselves. The server and the hostess came back several times to hurry us along, like starting right after we got our food. I hadn't even had a bite yet. I watched them do this to the tables around us. It's all about turning over the table. Sit, order, eat, get out. The pacing is way off. There are friendlier, more comfortable, more affordable places to have lunch. My recommendation is that you find someplace else for breakfast/brunch/lunch.

Egg breakfast with sausage patty is average at best. Potatoes, meh. Can't cook a poached egg right. One was soft the other medium. I wanted soft. Jam appears to be freezer jam. Not that good. Biscuits and gravy are good. No Tabasco. Great atmosphere and severice. Better options in the area for a basic breakfast.

It’s hard to really mess up brunch, but somehow we ended up with unseasoned eggs benedict, a greasy, soggy corned beef hash that I can’t even call a ā€œhashā€ on technicalities, and a crepe that was…. well, the crepe was fine, to be honest.

But yeah, not sure if I just ordered the wrong things or what, but the hot dogs at the farmer’s market outside were way better and cheaper.

Maybe you’ll have a better time than me, but honestly there’s so much good food in Edmonds I would just skip this one.

What a fancy brunch place! There are lots of options in the menu. Many people came here for mimosa. The food quality was good. Services were good too. We were not disappointed. We arrived a little bit past 11am on a Saturday, the waiting time was 45 minutes. Be prepared that the wait time can be long.

I treated myself to a solo breakfast date at The Rusty Pelican in downtown Edmonds, and it did not disappoint! The vibe was warm, cozy, and super welcoming. They started me off with a selection of coffee cakes (I picked the blueberry lemon… so good!). I had the Mill Creek omelet with potatoes and wheat toast, plus a mango mimosa that was both pretty and refreshing. The food was amazing, but the service and atmosphere were even better. Can’t wait to come back!
