Items very very pricey! Not a large selection of baked goods. Really small place. Funky entrance as you enter store. Very congested!

This bakery is INSANELY good. I drive 40 minutes one way just for their cream cheese and bread 🥖🥖 I'm ready to fight — this is the best bread you’ll find in Seattle. There might be other places, but… it took me over 7 years to find a spot where I could finally get a truly delicious slice of bread.
The only minus I see is that my favorite garlic 🧄 buns are only available for early birds — I usually come around 12 PM, and they’re already sold out, along with the chive spread. PLEASE make more!
Prices are great. Design, production, even Instagram page. Everything made with love.
We need you folks on the Eastside so bad. Redmond, ideally! Forever a fan of yours♥️

Fresh and delicious sourdough bread & baked goods! We love to visit the cottage bakery and always look for them at our local farmers markets

This is a real bakery where they bake stuff.
I've bought bread here only a couple of times so far, but it's been excellent each time. Also had sweet rolls. Yumm.

Love this bakery. The baguette is solid, their focaccia delicious and I have a soft spot for their seasonal sour dough chocolate muffins 🤩

The Cottage, Community Bakery has the most delicious baked goods, breads, etc. I also love how they rotate their baked goods and introduce new items frequently. Their cherry cake is absolutely mouth watering. It’s such a blessing having a delicious bakery right in our neighborhood!

I buy their bread at the Saturday Farmers' Market in Edmonds and at Ace Hardware on 5th (fresh daily!). My favorites are the olive sourdough and the sea salt focaccia (although they don't seem to ever stock the focaccia at Ace). The owner also posts regularly on Instagram and seems like such a nice person, as does everyone working their tent at the market. Happy to support this business and their great bread!

Great French bread!
Had their cookies at a catered event on Friday and their cookies were absolutely magnificent. Love the chocolate chip one and oatmeal raisin was superb. Just wish I had a chance to try the pastries but I was at the end of the line and they were all gone by then. Next time I'm in town, I'll make sure to go to the bakery itself. Or better yet maybe mail order to or open in Arizona???

I recently visited The Cottage – Community Bakery in search of sourdough made with clean, wholesome ingredients. Unfortunately, everything was sold out by the time I arrived. While I was talking to the staff about their ingredients, the founder Conor O’Neill overheard our conversation. He kindly offered me one of their popular Herbed Olive Sourdough loaves — completely on the house! (and honestly, he may have even given me one from his personal share). It was such a generous and thoughtful gesture, and the bread was absolutely incredible. So flavorful and fresh! I’m truly touched and will definitely be coming back for my regular sourdough fix.

HOLY CROISSANTS, BATMAN! Let me tell you about my serendipitous stumble into carb heaven at the Edmonds Farmers Market! There I was, minding my own business, when Community Bakery's stall beckoned to my inner Parisian (she's been sulking since that magical trip to France approximately 47,283 croissants ago).
Picture this: Me, standing there like a kid in a... well, bakery, eyeing this absolutely magnificent loaf of bread. Did they have a bread slicer? Non. Did that stop me? Also non! Sure, I knew I'd probably turn that beautiful loaf into a bread crime scene at home, but YOLO, right?
But wait, there's more! The real cherry on top (or should I say, the butter on the croissant?) was the crew of teenage staff members who were actually - gasp - HAPPY to be there! In Seattle, where the infamous 'Seattle Freeze' is so real it could probably preserve dinosaur DNA, finding friendly service is like finding a parking spot downtown - rare and worthy of celebration!
These kids were dropping knowledge about baked goods like they were the next generation of Great British Bake Off contestants. It was downright heartwarming, folks! Makes me want to rush to The Cottage before my great state exodus next year.
TL;DR: If you're tired of the Seattle Freeze, come thaw out with some warm bread and even warmer smiles at Community Bakery. Your taste buds will thank you, and your faith in human interaction might just get restored!
P.S. To my mangled bread loaf: I regret nothing. You were delicious in all your uneven glory.

This is the best bread ever. It's just as delicious and crunchy as when I was a kid. And I love their desserts, especially the pistachio cupcake. Best place

This is one of the best, if not the best local bakery. Every single thing they make is delicious - their baked goods are my kryptonite. I’d put my recommendations but you absolutely cannot go wrong. I love using their sourdough bread for French toast or sandwiches. It’s a rare week that I don’t stop in for a bread or a treat.
The staff is always friendly but quick so the line never takes long, and they sometimes put out free samples of their breads to try while in line. There are some cute tables outside you can sit at just in incase the car ride home is too long to wait to dig into your recently purchased lemon bun.
They also have a great selection of local-made goods like honey, spreads, chocolate, and granola as well if that’s your thing.
