In a city that feels like it’s constantly tearing down its history to build glass condos, The Horseshoe Tavern is a glorious, stubborn survivor. It’s been anchored on Queen West since 1947 & walking through those doors feels like a rite of passage for anyone who actually cares about live music in Toronto.
The beginning of our visit was ok, our first server Laine was ok. She never asked us what type of hefe we wanted and the glass we got was chipped. But all that was reconciled when Hannah came in. She made us feel like part of the family and hosted us perfectly.
Fun little place, Bartender and helper were friendly but they carded everyone, sometimes multiple times when they went out to smoke - our group was fine with it but if you get annoyed by that ,be aware to have your ID at the ready ALSO no food or snacks whatsoever when I was there. Fun electronic darts though and a pool
