It's an old place for sure and I wasn't happy at all. The food was bland and had little flavor. Just not at all what I was expecting.

Attention, bossI really need to hire more waiters on the weekend. The service was so bad that day. You could only hire one waiter. My sister ordered a bottle of beer and he would. My sister said no. I was too busy and didn’t have time to run to the kitchen and get a bottle of beer. Boss, you want the restaurant. VIPs spend money, so you have to hire more waiters in Zhou Mou, and the interior of your restaurant has not been changed in the past 30-40 years.Don't go... The interior is old and unsure need if remodeling. It's the same interior from 30 years ago. The owner doesn't care about the waitresses. It was busy with a single waitress managing the entire floor. When we requested a Qing Tao beer. She said NO, I CAN'T. I HAVE NO TIME. IM TOO BUSY. WE WAITED OVER A HALF HOUR FOR HER TO TAKE OUR ORDER.SHE WAS FLUSTERED AND RUNNING AROUND LIKE A CHICKEN WITH ITS HEAD CUT OFF.The owner needs to be switched out for a better one. Weekends require several waitresses on the floor. One waitress sure as hell don't cut it. ZERO STARS AND NO TIP THAT DAY.

There was only one waitress working there that day we went there, so the wait was a bit long to be seated and have our order taken. Other than that it was a very good meal and plenty to eat. You just need to be seated by yourself if the waitress is taking too long or serving other patrons first.

The literal best Mongolian Beef I've ever had!...Not that I've had all that many, but out of all 3 places I've had it from, Hunan Palace wins every. single. time.

We came to Hunan Palace for dinner at about 7:30 on a Friday night. The place was huge, but only a small section was being used. There were three other tables that were towards the end of their meal. We ordered the Szechwan combo for two. The hot & sour soup and appetizers were very good. Appetizers were spring rolls and BBQ pork. The Mongolian beef was my husband's favorite entree. I liked the General Tso's chicken best. It wasn't as heavily battered as some, and the sauce wasn't overly sweet, to it was very nice. The honey glazed prawns were also good, but I was wishing that there weren't two breaded & fried entrees. It was a large amount of food for two people so we took some home.
