TL;DR: We really wanted to love this place. It’s got everything going for it - location, decor, atmosphere, and top-notch service. If only they could get the *food* right.
Right up front: the service was fantastic - 5 stars for Mario! A superb waiter who gets everything right.
Unfortunately the food was…not good, verging on pretty bad. Which is a real shame, because the menu looked fantastic.
Starters: the crab and artichoke dip appetizer tasted stale, like it’d been made some time ago, frozen, and reheated, and it only came with 4 tiny pieces of bread (also stale) and it cost $3 to get 4 more tiny pieces of stale bread so we could gamely try to finish the dip (which we didn’t). The chicken tinga taco appetizers were actually not too bad, relatively speaking, but a bit under seasoned and somewhat cold.
Two of our party of four got the surf ‘n turf, and we both ordered the flatiron steak medium rare, but both orders showed up well-done and chewy as hell. The lobster tail was indifferently prepared and somewhat flavorless, which wasn’t helped by the oddly cold and stale-tasting unsalted butter which accompanied it. The promised “garlic dill butter” was nowhere in evidence. The fries? Nailed those!
Lobster risotto: the lobster was merely OK; the risotto was “a bit undercooked”.
The fish ‘n chips…the breading was “kind of hard” and the fish “didn’t taste very fresh”. “Stale” - there’s that word again. I’m sensing a theme here…
We soldiered on and ordered desert. The Washington Apple Crisp sounded great on paper, but once again, the execution disappointed. Butter bourbon sautéed apples were…not quite done enough; the ice cream was tasty, but the “golden raisin compote” seemed to simply be some regular (NOT golden) raisins sprinkled on top, and the cornflakes that were supposed to add crunch to the whole thing ended up a soggy mess. We finished the ice cream; most of the rest of it sat uneaten.
So it was a Tuesday, and Mario told us that they were switching menus at the end of the week, so maybe we just stopped in on a bad night and they were cleaning out the pantry prior to switching over. Whatever the case, we walked out of there disappointed we hadn’t gone to Fisherman Jack’s across the street.
I’m hoping they can turn this place around, but in spite of the stellar service and the great location the food was just so bad that I can’t see us returning. A shame.
Lovely view of the boat harbor.
The food is really good and everyone was so nice. I would definitely recommend this place. It’s totally worth it.
Our server, Mario was so nice and brought all the good vibes in.
Mario is outstanding! Exceptionally professional, friendly and charismatic.
Excellent food and ambiance.
The Brussel Sprouts were tasty and the Farmer's Salad was a great palate-cleanser for the (cod). My Mojito was hood, but the needed to be muddled to release the flavor. The restaurant was understaffed but the waitstaff were great, and very accommodating!
Our meal was pretty underwhelming. Not bad but mediocre. I had the lobster risotto that arrived at the table smelling kind of too fishy. I tasted it and it was ok, a little overcooked,. I suspect it could have been fresher. The risotto didn't seem like real risotto, stirred until creamy, etc but just rice with squash and broth. It was tasty enough, but not risotto. The brussels sprouts weren't great. Caesar salad, same. Edible but not that good. Our waiter was also just ok. He was very nice finding a nice table for us, but he didn't bring us a wine list, he didn't know anything about the wines we asked about and did not offer to try to f9ind out from other staff. I finally suggested maybe he ask the bartender, which he did. He said the restaurant doesn't train the staff on their wines (or rather doesn't do tastings for them. Not a great way to increase your wine sales. The restaurant is REALLY noisy because it's all hard surfaces. It wasn't that full and we still had a hard time talking because it was so noisy. We won't be back. Don't recommend.
We had a great experience here with Mario as our server. The atmosphere is fun and cozy and the food is great! Recommend for any type of celebration or just a relaxing dining experience.
The ambiance was great
The meals were awesome
The service was amazing!
Highly recommend
I have been to so many restaurants not only in the Usa but everywhere and Mario is absolutely Amazing his Customer Service experience is from out of this world.
We went the Saturday before Mother's Day and before attending a musical at Village Theater. Park at hotel, not on side since they now charge on that area. French fries were perfect! Loved our brunch meal. Emma was our waitress but this time she only took our order and someone else delivered our food and bill. Love the location so close to the water and the hotel is nice too!

I waited for a friend to finish 1/2 marathon. Had bloody Mary and omelet. Wait staff and host were so awesome. Had a leisurely meal by the windows. So thoughtful and just the right amount of care. Can't wait to try lunch/ dinner!
A wonderful place to gather. Great coffee and a menu with something for everyone. Excellent service—-attentive without being too much.
Really enjoyed my time. Great service, waiter was very kind and knowledgeable. Food was delicious. Enjoyed the dinner very much
Very open, roomy and enjoyable dining area with nice views of the marina. Tables are well-spaced for private conversations. Our server was attentive, friendly and efficient. The menu is quite limited for dinner. My expensive salmon was dry and overcooked, but the quinoa was tasty. My partner enjoyed the pork chop but sides were not great. Desserts were very disappointing. Will probably not return very soon.
Made reservations for 7. Was not sat till 7:20. Very unorganized. The manager not only managed but was also the bus boy. Not enough staff. I was very excited to have the surf & turf or the lobster rosetto They ran out of both not much left in the menu to choose from. Very disappointed
