I had high hopes for Katya’s Bakery, but my experience was nothing short of a disaster. I visited on Thursday, 12/26, to order a birthday cake for my son's 2nd birthday on 12/29 and was met with a completely unhelpful attitude from the young girl at the counter. She informed me that they weren’t taking pre-orders this week because of the holidays, which, okay, fair enough. But then she assured me that I could call back at 8 AM on Sunday, and they would "try" to reserve a cake for me to pick up the same day. When I questioned if they were actually open on Sunday, since their Google listing said they were closed, she insisted that their hours were different for the holiday week and promised they'd be open. Well, it's now 8:38 AM on Sunday, and surprise—they’re clearly not open. Now I’m left scrambling to find a last-minute cake for my son's party. This level of disorganization and complete lack of professionalism is beyond frustrating. I will absolutely not be returning to this bakery, nor will I recommend it to anyone.

It's a good bakery with post-soviet style pastries and desserts. Fresh and tasty. The cakes are not overly sweet. Definitely recommend.
They also have a grocery nearby, with a decent assortment of Eastern European food and candies.

Best borscht in the northwest. Beautiful pastries and lovely service. It’s busy but no one is rushed. Very relaxing atmosphere. Food is perfect.
