Visited 12/13/25 had dinner with my husband. It was my first time. Lew was very personable and provided great service. I got the chicken taquitos which I loved the cheese they were amazing and my husband got the pulled pork big daddy sandwich and his was also good. The potato salad was 10/10 and the Mac n cheese was 8/10. I’m not usually a potato salad person but it was amazing. Lew also runs a ministry where he gives back to the community. Read his story there and I feel like he is an inspiring man especially for troubled young men that need guidance. Thank you and God Bless!

The owners are really nice. The mac and cheese was dry, dull, and tasteless. The ribs were OK. For the price- not worth it. Will not return.

I must of come on a bday day because the bbq and Mac wasn’t the best but it was good BUT what stood out to me that would make me come back and try again was the service and atmosphere. The location is easy to find, parking is easy and the owner is SO nice. He was working hard to get orders out and back and forth ringing people up. There were lots of regulars which tells me I need to come back to try again.

I had driven past this spot way too many times with intentions of stopping by. A few days ago, I had time to stop in. You can smell the smoke pit from the road, which let's you know it's going to be good.
When I came in, I let Lew know I was a first timer and he helped me figure out what I wanted. Ended up getting the brisket sandwich, collard greens, and Mac n cheese. Boooooy! I should have taken a picture but it looked too good to waste time doing that. The brisket was super juicy and flavorful. BBQ sauce was perfect. Smoke flavor was just the right amount. Collard greens were absolutely on point. The Mac n Cheese... that was nothing less than divine. I cannot stress enough how good the Mac was. The best part was that all of this food reheated well the next day for leftovers. You know brisket is great when its STILL not dry the next day microwaved.
Lew was very nice and who I believe was his wife was very pleasant too. The restaurant is covered in stuff to keep your eyes busy. This is a local business that keeps involved in the community. We need to keep places like this alive.
Stop by. Spend money. Eat well and spread the word to your friends. You won't be sorry!

Little disappointed we couldn't get lunch here. They said they opened at 12. We got there 10 minutes early meeting someone for a sales transaction. After we were done at 1230 we decided to go somewhere else to eat because we drove 5 hours and were pretty hungry. As leaving either the owner or just a worker came pulling in blocking us as we were trying to leave blaring on their horn. We let them park and started to leave and the guy started yelling at us. Come eat. Come eat. Considering how they acted and they were obviously way late not a place i would recommend. Maybe the foods good tho. Just wasnt a good experience being from out of town.

Great food an energy, amazing service an definitely worth the price. Not many good homestyle restaurants around here, but this 1 hit the spot for sure. Will definitely be back! Thank you Lew & Kk ♥️

The food was good, meat was smokey and tender, mac n cheese was very flavorful. The sweet tea was different. Tasted like it had some apple pie flavor to it but still good. The service was ok for a small BBQ place. The owner was the only person working so it took a little longer to get our food. But all in all the experience was good!

Mean Lew’s BBQ – A New Favorite!
Who doesn’t love a good food truck? You know you’ve picked the right spot when there’s a line of people eagerly waiting for their lunch—and that was exactly the scene at Mean Lew’s BBQ.

I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with mac & cheese and coleslaw, and my husband went for the tri-tip sandwich loaded with grilled onions, mushrooms, horseradish slaw, and melted pepper jack cheese.

The food absolutely lived up to the hype.
The pulled pork had that perfect crispy edge and rich, smoky flavor. The slaw added a refreshing crunch and balance. And the tri-tip? Cooked to perfection—tender, flavorful, and unforgettable.

This spot is definitely a new favorite for us. Can’t wait to go back!
