BEST CARBONARA I EVER HAD OUTSIDE ROME.
I AM OVERJOYED WITH A VERY FULL STOMACH WRITING THIS REVIEW IN THE MIDST OF A GLORIOUS GLUTEN HIGH.
SERIOUSLY, FOR THE CARBONARA LOVERS, THIS CARBONARA IS INCREDIBLE, LOADED WITH GUANCIALE AND THE EGG/PECORINO CREAM IS JUST 100% ON SPOT! I HAD IT TOO FAST AN COULD NOT TAKE A PICTURE OF IT.
CHEF VIK TARANTINO DELIVERS, WITHOUT COMPROMISES. THANK YOU CHEF, WAY TO GO!

We were not impressed with our food. Service was good. That's all I will say as owner refuses to take constructive criticism based on previous reviews . He is an expert and we stupid Everett residents don't know good italian food even if we traveled Italy. Don't worry, we won't be back.
Response.... We were not there Friday and were there for an hour weeks ago and ordered 2 meals, appetizers and drinks. Also, we have been all over Italy.

Atmosphere was really nice. Really enjoyed the bruschetta. I had the linguine de mare. Reminded me of when I lived in Italy. Good flavors too. It had a fine dining atmosphere but relaxed too. The noodles were cooked to a perfect al dente. We had some berry mix mocktail. Good, but expensive. The bolognese sauce could have been better. I really love a traditional Italian bolognese sauce so I'm picky with that one. All in all it was a good experience and our server did a great job.

The food was delicious and the atmosphere was the days gone by with cloth tablecloths and napkins, all of the servers were so nice and friendly..we especially liked ours.. But to top it off the owner drove my husband and I back to our truck after we ate,my husband had parked about 9 blocks away from the restaurant while I waited ,he was exhausted and is 79 years old,it was the kindness gesture and we really appreciated that we didn't have to walk at night that far back to our truck,Thank You again and the cake was Delicious!! Excellent ambiance and very good service from Eric. The food left a lot to be desired. The Rocco salad was fine, carpaccio salmone was just a plate of cured salmon (though what did I expect I guess), caprese came with dried basil instead of fresh leaves; red sauce for the bolognese and ravioli tasted exactly the same (bland) - there was just meat added to the bolognese. Sauce on the veal was nothing impressive either. No depth of flavor anywhere. Chocolate cake was dry and tasted store bought but the limoncello mascarpone cake was quite good. Not worth a return visit.

We had a great first experience at Luca and excellent service by Flora, as she helped correct our steak doneness and even chased after us to make sure we didn't forget our credit card. The burrata special was especially delicious and the filet dish was outstanding. We will definitely be back!

My husband and I are fortunate to be regulars at Luca, since the week they opened their doors. And each visit reminds us why this restaurant is one of the rare gems in the local area. Luca is not simply a place to eat — it is a complete experience of authentic Italian hospitality, rooted in tradition and carried out with passion. Sometimes you wanna go where everybody knows your name.
From the moment we step through the door, we are greeted with warmth. Bepi, the gracious host and owner, has a gift for making his guests feel as if they’ve arrived in his own home. His attention to detail, his effortlessly unstuffy demeanor, and his clear pride in his restaurant create an atmosphere that is both elegant and welcoming. It’s an embrace of Italy right here in Everett.
Eric, whose name comes up often in conversations about Luca, deserves every bit of recognition. He is not only a server but a consummate professional with the charm and intuition of a maître d’ in a Michelin-starred dining room. He balances attentiveness with ease, ensuring that every glass is filled and every question answered, while never intruding on the intimacy of the evening. His knowledge of the extensive list of fine Italian wine and his ability to craft a cocktail that perfectly complements the meal are outstanding. Eric has made every one of our visits memorable, and it is no surprise to us that other diners mention him so frequently in their reviews. It's always perfection in his section.
The heart of Luca, however, beats strongest in its kitchen. Chef Vic’s food is a masterclass in authentic Italian cuisine. Each plate that emerges is a work of care and craft. Pastas with the right bite and texture (Al dente, as they should) sauces layered with depth and subtlety, meats and seafood cooked with precision. Whether it is the richness of the carbonara, the robust depth of the wild boar ragù, or it being the only place I can find nearby that serves a proper cannoli, every dish carries the hallmarks of a chef who respects both his ingredients and his guests. The plethora of specials each visit keep the menu fresh and highlight that they are constantly curating locally sourced and fine imported ingredients. When you see words like guanciale and San Marzano, you know you're getting the good stuff done the proper way as they would in Italy.
What sets Luca apart is the harmony of these elements. The hospitality of Bepi, the finesse and professionalism of Eric, and the artistry of Chef Vic create an experience that transcends the ordinary. Dining here is not transactional — it is celebratory, restorative, and memorable. Each evening feels like the kind of meal you will recall for days, the sort of experience that compels you to become a regular.
If you have yet to visit, be prepared to discover not just exceptional food, but learn the Italian way of dinning which is to relax, take it slow, and enjoy your food. For us, Luca is more than a restaurant; it is part of our lives, a place where we celebrate milestones, impress visiting friends and family, and savor the everyday joys of life. Grazie to the Luca team!
For those who rate Luca anything less, might I suggest a frozen Marie Callender lasagna? There's also an Olive Garden in Everett. That may be more appealing to your palate.
