I likee the portions, free miso soup.

Teriyaki beef tasted very good. The salmon bento box was decent too. No complaints, will eat here again.

Miyako's Teriyaki used to be our weekly treat. Nicely grilled, good amount of food for the price.

But for the past year or so the food prep has taken a turn...Not sure if it's a change in cooks, or maybe they don't care about the customer's request: "please don't burn the sauce"! They didn't care. We stopped eating there.

We recently returned to give Miyako another chance in hopes the Spicey Chicken Teriyaki would be as we once enjoyed. Much to our dismay, the Spicey Chicken Teriyaki tasted like the chicken is dredged in sand, then annointed with the sauce. Unsavory taste, even when I try to scrape all the charred sauce off.

Teryaki sauce has a high sugar content, which tends to burn easily. There is a fine line between properly grilled teriyaki...most cooks add the teriyaki sauce towards the end of cooking as a glaze to ensure the sugars caramelize without burning.
Or maybe just cleaning the grill between prep would improve Miyako's results.

We will seek another restuarant that knows how to deliver good teriyaki, with equally good customer service!

Maybe Kings?

Thought I found my new go to take out spot ….unfortunately the person working the register tried to over charge me a ridiculous amount for take out.

This place is delicious! You can tell they take pride in their food in the way it is displayed on the plate. Definitely got two meals worth of food. So there's great value to it too!

The food here is delicious with generous servings. I'm taking off 1 star because the salt or MSG or something caused us a lot of bloating. It was really tasty though.

Though it tasted pretty good, I received a small amount of chicken for$16.00, and 2 heaping balls of rice. Needless to say the experience could be better

Ordered chicken teriyaki and general Tao. I’ve never had worse general Tao then this restaurant overcooked, no sauce, with shriveled peas and carrots. Absolutely awful

This is a reliable little spot. Nothing fancy in terms of service nor decor/ambiance. But the food is solid and I like the complementary tea and miso or egg drop soup. Food always comes quickly and hot.

Ordered tofu teriyaki and Mongolian beef at the counter. Double checked my order and paid. When the food was ready, he only had the Mongolian beef and not the tofu teriyaki. I asked about it, he said NO, rudely. I asked again, he said I didn’t order. Anyways, i ordered the tofu teriyaki and waited for it to be ready to go. He clearly didn’t understand or spoke good English and was rude. The old man needs to make sure he gets the order right next time. I won’t be coming back.

Excellent food. Restaurant cleaned the grill before making gluten free food, which was awesome and appreciated. This place can get extremely busy but it is VERY worth the wait and staff/ownership are incredibly friendly. I will definitely be coming here again.

Also - this place, at least the night I was there, is an experience. Interesting people, just a couple hilarious moments. This is a place where community is strong. I really can’t say enough nice things about this place.

I had pork & chicken teriyaki.

The pork was freshly cooked & delicious.

The chicken was cooked earlier so it was a little dry and luke warm.

Generous portion.
Service is ok.

I’ve had better.

Toshi’s is still my favorite teriyaki chicken.
Just wanted to try other teriyaki restaurants near me.

The food and service and everything else is always excellent. I have never ever had a bad lunch or dinner. For someone that has food allergies I know what to order or what not to order but I do love Seafood.
