Without a doubt the best macarons, and the rosé pound cake would knock Gordon Ramsay off his feet. Walking through the door teleports the customer into a tea room that could otherwise only be found in upscale Paris. This place is absolutely stunning and a go to for anyone looking for an amazing pastry!

Great bakery. My favorites are Sour cherry chocolate chip cookies and apple cake. Must say I just tried their scones today..... Divine. Oh the quiche here is the best around.

I was impressed very good food, for a decent price. The staff was generally friendly. However, I had other customers rude to me and glaring at me due to the last seating in the place. They truely need to redo the design for where customers sit. I definently would reccomend this place to others, just not for sit in, its better order for takeout.

Friendly, fast, get in, get your muffin (or scone/ danish/ pastry/ croissant) and get on with the day. Everything is homemade that morning and super delightful. Never had a bad experience.

Two words: the food. It really is all about taste. Ingredients are fresh, no corners are cut, and the results are spectacular. The lemon bread could have its own fan club. The creme brulee could win an Oscar for Best Supporting Dessert. I had a special sandwich with Brie and ham which made me want to weep for joy. I wish the 3-salad special allowed you to sample every single one because it's impossible to choose 3. I wish they were closer to my work ... then again, I'd probably weigh 20 pounds more.

Wasn't too impressed with this bakery, especially after reading all the great reviews. Nothing looked too good & the person behind the counter could have cared less about us being there. Almost didn't buy anything there at all, but, my Husband felt we should get at least SOMETHING since we went in. Won't go there again.

Pave is a pretty good bakery, but they should take care in who they hire. I wanted to order a turkey sandwich, so I asked the young dark-haired girl at the counter whether the turkey was fresh or not. The girl said "No, we've had it for about a year...it's kinda old". I rephrased my question to "Is it straight off the turkey or is it processed?" and she didn't seem to understand, just started rambling about how she likes to joke that they have to pluck the chicken before preparing it. Since I could see I was getting nowhere, I politely asked for a sample. The answer was no. There was no explanation as to why. I've been coming to Pave for a while now for lunch. I'm a little surprised at the new attitude at the counter. It may keep me away for awhile.

Premium prices for middling food. Pastries are good but not exceptional. No atmosphere, it always feels cold regardless of the weather. Breads are OK, again, nothing really exceptional. The kind of place to run in, get what you want and go elsewhere to enjoy it.

To be fair, my experience at Pave is pretty limited. New to town, I came in craving a chewy, zesty sourdough, with very high expectations. What I got was a beautiful loaf of sourdough to go, with a flavor and texture much more akin to a French bread. French bread is fine and good, except that I can buy something a lot less elegant for a buck at Safeway, and this was $4.50, prettier outside than inside, $3.50 more and far short of anything with a tanginess I'd call sourdough. Craving totally unsatisfied. That said, the counter help was swift and friendly, the place clearly abuzz with regulars, and everything looked really good. Would I try it again? If a friend wanted to go, if I found out the sourdough was mislabled, or if I was hungry enough and it was convenient enough, yeah. But I would be reluctant to spring for a loaf of sourdough again there.

I went into the store today to order a cake for my Daughters birthday and was referred to another bakery (who then referred me to ). Since I didn't order anything at Pave, I will only comment on what I saw. The place was full, with only one table open and customers darting in and out as they ordered sandwiches, salads and specialty coffees. The counter staff was fast, efficient and very friendly (props to Liz). When someone left a table, the staff had it cleared and cleaned before the next customers walked in - the whole place was very clean - a big plus!

The food is pretty good, I will give them that. My only problem with Pave is that they knew I was deathly allergic to nuts and although they claimed they were careful....there was an almond in my tuna sandwich. The owner/manager/whomever she was apologized up and down for the mistake, gave me my food for free and asked if there was anything else she could do. I was impressed by her attempts to right the situation. I am not telling people to avoid Pave, however, I probably won't go back.

Time for a compliment sandwich: -- Good: The staff at Pave are friendly and it's right around the corner from where I live. -- Bad: Their sandwiches are L-A-M-E... there's nothing "specialty" about them, slap one together at home or try any of the local (delicious) teriyaki joints instead. -- Good: Their pastries look tasty... maybe I'll try 3-4 of them for lunch next time instead of one silly, 3-piece, lonely-on-it's-plate "sandwich".
