We ordered the chicken sandwich, a couple of burgers and fish and chips. Everything tasted like it was store bought, no flavour, very greasy and the fries cold. The atmosphere was very bland and noisy given the beautiful location. Would not recommend.

I love the atmosphere of this place! Wide selection of food, friendly staff, and great drinks. It usually seems busy so it seems almost like a local favorite.

Good food and the service was nice.
The fish and chips were delicious! The service was wonderful. The lavender honey hard cider was one of the best drinks I've ever tasted!! Clean, spacious restaurant. Very close to the water for a nice stroll after dinner.

Phenomenal service! I ordered the Admiral burger which is flavorful, with the peppers grilled into the patty. The rest of it is rather basic, but it meant the meat was not overshadowed. Their root beer is quite tasty!

If you're looking for a varied menu for food and beverages in a great location, then check out Scuttlebutt.
The beer menu is extensive and there are specials/seasonal options updated regularly (you can also purchase alcoholic beverages from coolers to take home whether you eat here or not). Scuttlebutt also has its own root beer and there are two limeaid flavors too.
The menu has a good variety of seafood, burger, and entree options - favorites are the Dreadnaught (spicy!), the Honey-fried Chicken Sandwich, the Philly Cheesesteak, and the Fish & Chips. Favorite starter is the Spicy Calamari.
Desserts change up but currently the lava cake option is amazing (and shareable).
Parking: Parking is free for two hours in a number of street spots (you have to pay after that time) and there's a lot opposite the restaurant that is paid only.
Kid-friendliness: Large tables with lots of room for larger parties, easy to move around the restaurant, family friendly bathrooms.
Wheelchair accessibility: There's a ramp and elevators into the building the restaurant is housed in, and accessible bathrooms, as well as wide spaces to move through most of the restaurant.

Scuttlebutt Brewery: Where Beer Is the Main Event, but I’m Here for the Fries
Alright, let’s get this out of the way: I don’t drink beer. In fact, I don’t drink alcohol, period. So, if you’re looking for a dissertation on the hops and barley wizardry going on here, you’ve come to the wrong place. But hey, let’s talk about what really matters—the food.
Scuttlebutt’s menu is classic bar fare with no surprises. You’ve got your burgers, your fries, and, of course, the deep-fried appetizers that could probably double as insulation material. The burgers? They’re fine. Not life-changing, but hey, it’s a burger, not an epiphany. The fries are crispy enough to make you feel like maybe you’re making a good life decision—at least until you’re three baskets deep.
As for the atmosphere, it's got that “we’re here to drink” vibe, which makes sense because—spoiler alert—it’s a brewery. The decor is trying its hardest to scream "craft beer enthusiast haven," but if you're here for the food like me, you just accept that you’re in the background of someone else’s IPA-fueled good time.
Would I come back? Sure. The food’s decent, the vibe is laid-back, and there’s something satisfying about eating while surrounded by people trying to impress each other with their nuanced takes on sour ale.
Our SCUBA club meets here monthly. Despite our large (separate checks) group, the food and service are always excellent.
Parking: Lots of parking on both sides of the restaurant.

Service is fantastic, food is pretty good. Didn’t have to wait at all to be seated (and we came in on a Friday and a Saturday evening), and our servers (regret that I can’t remember their names) were both on top of it! Of note, it’s a great place to eat if you happen to be staying at the Hotel Indigo, because it’s about a two-minute walk from the hotel. Highly recommend!
