Was a fun spot about 8 years ago with live bands and a cool and weird vintage vibe. Got weirder there with no bands and few patrons when I was back about 5 and 3 years ago and then I read the news. Last I heard the ownership changed, as there had been partners, but the guy who’s waiting on his court date is still holding onto the building which had been closed for over a year. Hopefully he’ll put the place up for sale soon. I knew someone who was actually looking at trying to invest in the building before this group bought the place when Rick Lapinski had it for sale probably about 8 years ago. Also had The New Mexican for sale then and regret not finding a way to invest in either one then.Anchor is an interesting triangle building right next to the train tracks on a bend and I understated a couple or three buildings put together / walls removed to make the current building which is on a slope, so there are stair steps going down to the bar… which I was concerned about. Needed brick work in the back of the building too and old small bathrooms.

Kinda clique-ish, if you are not a reg, but dig their live shows. The Impressions are a fave.
edited due to news about the owner
The food and wings were good, but the service was very slow and I finally had to ask someone to look for my order.
Cameron was a pleasure and made a old fashioned whiskey sour like nobody his age LOL the poppers were good, filled us up, not to hot for those who don't like spicy they were mild to medium-
Great atmosphere and waitstaff. M'lady and I had fun. A "new friend" there offered to buy our drinks too. Thanks bud! Very nice!!
best drag brunch around!
Kind of a hard-scrabble sort of place, but I wish they had a dance floor
Cool place friendly people
How do we allow places like this to exist?

Just read the news stories about the owner. So terrible.
They are closed
Nope -- not for me.
I've been to this bar maybe 4 or 5 times between 2016-2018, and only because friends of mine liked it there. I never liked being there, the entire vibe was strange. Now I know why.
