We came with a big group for my husband’s birthday dinner. They were extremely accommodating and patient, especially considering we had 3 young children running around. The owner, Evie, was incredibly sweet, attentive, helpful, and just all around a wonderful person. The food was delicious!!! The homemade tortilla chips were thick. The guacamole was perfect. Everyone loved their enormous entres (plenty of leftovers for tomorrow!). They even rang a giant bell and came singing, popping a birthday sombrero on his head, with sopapillas for a birthday dessert. Will definitely come back again! Thank you to all the amazing staff at The New Mexicans :)
The staff was nice, the food was a joke: no flavor at all, looks like food from a can on a plate with a microwave heated. We were shocked when we got our food. Never again. No thank you, wast of money. BUT nice people. Good luck.

Went in for dinner tonight and everything was phenomenal. My wife had the carne asada burrito and it was delicious. I had the Rio Burger and it was by far the best burger I have ever had. Perfectly cooked bacon, small amount of green Chili's added the perfect tang. Plus the burger was cooked and seasoned to perfection. Hand cut fries are no joke either.The sopapillas are to die for.Feels as if you are eating at home as the staff feels more like family than people serving you food. Been here countless times but this is by far the best. Would recommend to anyone.

We stopped for a lunch on our way back from Seattle. I would never go back.The atmosphere is quaint but the food was awful.We never received any complimentary taco chips with salsa to start.My partner’s ordered Carnitas Asada burrito, the beef was gristly and lacking flavour. On the side was a teaspoon of sour cream along with bland serving of pinto beans.I ordered the smoked chicken enchilada and it was a tortilla packed with bland (so called smoked) chicken. As well as a teaspoon of sour cream. Along side a heaping portion of bland pinto beans.I couldn’t even finish due to the mystery mushroom that I came across as I was trying hard to enjoy. It looked like a part off a gnome’s private part. ?After showing picture to others, we’ve come to conclusion that was a chicken heart ?I just couldn’t ?

I am from New Mexico and no longer need to look for a good Mexican restaurant. This place is authentic New Mexican food. Hatch chili sauce, pinto beans and stacked enchiladas with an egg on top. I love this place. Beware of the New Mexico sauce.

Great customer service and atmosphere is pretty relax, but food really has no flavor, I had the carne asada burrito and no guacamole and it had steamed rice inside of it, we also had the loco moco and same result, lack of seasoning. Also prices are high.
