Good beef teriyaki but neither I or my roommate cared for the chicken.

The flavor of the beef was good. And I could taste the love in it. However, I’m sorry but it just wasn’t worth the money. I’ve never had teriyaki beef plate with such small portions. It was two skewers with about 5 small slices of beef on each one. While I was waiting I heard a microwave oven go off. That worried me, and I am pretty sure the rice was microwaved.Rice is cheap. How hard is it, to keep a pot of fresh rice handy.I know businesses are struggling in these unprecedented times, so I’m sorry, but I would not be going back there again under these circumstances.I also have worked in the food industry for several decades and worked in award winning restaurants: so I would like to recommend not using that cut of beef. It’s not ideal for teriyaki beef plates, which is why traditional Japanese teriyaki restaurants do not use it. Please look at what others are using and you will see that it is a much cheaper option because it is tougher meat. The beauty is that the marinade will soften the meat and you can give bigger portions. Everyone wins.I hope my message makes sense. Forgive me if it doesn’t, I’m having trouble thinking as I am still hungry.

New owners. Toshiis used to be some of the best teriyaki in town. Unfortunately the new management must have not gotten trained by the old owners. Teriyaki just didn't have much flavor Unfortunately. Hopefully they can get better over time because this place had a fantastic reputation!

Awful food this used to be excellent teriyaki new owner has messed it all up food is awful; even the rice. The rice was straight mush should at least be able to cook rice!!! The service was great. Prices increased and a lot smaller portions which I know these days is happening a lot but to this extent

Their beef teriyaki is hibachi seared on skewers, not stir fried like Mongolian beef, which is what a lot of local teriyaki shops do. Much better flavor that way??

I'm giving one star cause it was real beef, and not that shredded dogfood everyone else is passing off.my first time back in 25,years,got half the meat or less rice was cheap not jasmine dry over cooked(went in garbage all of it) they saturated it in a thin sauce Wich made it worse 2 meals almost$30 and in the end all we got was few bite of meat the horrible rice and some lettuce in the trash what a rip off never again ,I use to eat their 5days a week.place was very dirty and stunk of dirty grill smoking

Absolutely delicious! When I want teriyaki, THIS is what I want. Good size dinner and order ahead if in a hurry

Flavorless food. The can of tea purchased that says 99 cents printed on it and he charged me 3.79. I paid almost 40$ just for a small yakisoba lunch and a small appetizer and a tea.

So new owners ordered for cabbage salad they still make it. Used to be shredded with a mandolin and had carrots to. I recieved large pieces roughly chopped. I can do that at home....I like the mandolin sliced because of the texture and the way it held onto the vinager. So not even close to what I wanted. And the portion size was half of what it used to be picture doesn't do justice for serving size and was five dollars. Got the chicken breast teriyaki. Chicken ok but the sauce has changed tasted like sweet soy sauce not at all like teriyaki sauce. The rice was not edible so just mush way to much water when cooked. Should at least get rice right it's a teriyaki place. Will never go again. You may want to try and see for your self???!... New owners and local small business. But never again for me

My husband and I would go to this Toshi's several times a year. We loved the portions, the quickness, and the owners. However, recently the store has changed hands as did the quality & quantity of the food. It was horrible. The chicken was tough, the rice wasn't great and they didn't give us any Toshi's sauce in my box. The amount of food was also significantly less than what we were used to getting. They also changed the entire look of the packaging. The old man who was always at the counter had a dry sense of humor, probably due to the language difference. He was very nice, he was all business and to the point. We will miss the prickly and cranky way he went about his business, his grouchiness was his way to show he cared. But due to the change of owners, We won't be back to this location, we were extremely disappointed in it all,

Always hot an freshly prepared. Stays hot until I walk home too (10min away) the people that work there are super kind. Been coming here for 5 years. I truly don't think that will ever change.

Great food but not coming back again because Male Cook/Owner very rude toward service dogs. Tokyo Teriyaki is better and welcomes service dogs.

I've been going there on occasion for 20 years and they never disappoint.
