First time here and only went to gave this place a shot after getting bubble tea in the area and spotted this Chinese/Thai food place. We got the Panang Curry, Beef Lo Mein, and Phad See Yew (wide noodle stir fry). All I can say is the food was very bland. If you want actual tasty thai food go to Kwan Tip Thai. The food at Asian Express was doable, but I sorta had to push myself to eat it since i paid nearly $60 lol.

Such a delicious and neat family-run restaurant. I was impressed with the portions and how nice the experience was, certainly a hidden gem. For sure I’ll be supporting again!

We ordered the panang curry, Pad See Ew and Thai tea ice cream. Each dish was very good, just as spicy as we ordered. The portion sizes were also great. The server was very kind and overall the place is great. 5/5 stars easily

I recently discovered Asian Express in my neighborhood, and I like it. My wife bought the chicken Pad Thai for lunch (a good portion) for about $13.00. It was very tasty.
After having a good experience the first time around, I decided to order more dishes a week later. I ordered the chicken wings, beef larb, and the pad Thai for dinner. All the dishes are delicious. One of these dishes came with a small container of steamed rice. So, that's a complete meal there. Out of the three dishes I noticed the Pad Thai was loaded. It was stuffed in the To-Go box. It's much more than the lunch portion. That's when I compared the two receipts. They charged a bit more - about $5 more for dinner, and so did the serving portion. It's loaded. I'm not sure if you can order the lunch portion during dinner time. The lunch portion is all I need.
Anyway, I just want to share my liking of this place. There are so many other dishes to try, and the staff is wonderful. This is based on my phone conversation with Mike. My wife has been picking up food and interacting with others who work there.

Everything was fresh and hot, the steamed tilapia so tasty and, again, FRESH! Don’t forget to treat yourself to the crab rangoon as well. Heck yes!

Food was the best Thai food I have ever had especially in federal way. Restaurant was super clean. We got the pad kee mao, pad Thai, and chicken wings. Food was seasoned perfect, had great spice. We got the Thai iced teas also the best we have ever had hands down. Staff was super friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this place

Delicious food with outstanding service! That’s what’s on offer at Asian Express. A welcome addition to the Federal Way restaurant scene; offering primarily Thai food, with Chinese dishes, Dim Sum, and Hot Pot on the menu, albeit they require about a day’s notice for the latter. Honestly the best Siu Mai we’ve ever had. The Pad Kee Mao was awesome as well.
