came here on the way down to golf in tacoma. in korea soup and rice is a common breakfast, so my parents and i were thankful they were open relatively early. everything was amazing - soup hearty without being overly fatty, and all the side dishes were homemade and amazing (better kimchi than my mom's, and they also had marinated squid which is so good with the soup). they even shared a spicy pepper condiment to eat with the meat in the soup that was amazing!family running the place was super nice, and they came by to make conversation and see how we liked our meal. the way the restaurant was set up, also looked like a great place to get some food and a hearty meal after work with friends. will definitely come by every time we pass through federal way!

First time at this restaurant and won’t be our last. Thought not a big menu, the food is excellent. We ordered the oxtail soup, seafood pancake, and hot pot bulgolgi and all three dishes were delicious. Our dishes came with a few sides (ie kimchi, cucumber kimchi). My soup did not come with noodles but I added the clear noodles for $1.50 and was worth it. Was more than enough food for my family of 4. Most important, the service is great. The employees were super friendly and discussed all the menu options making ordering easy. Can’t wait to eat there again. Going to try the beef short rib soup next but wouldn’t mind eating the oxtail again.

this place is phenomenal. small menu, only a few kimchi banchan - b/c the soups are the stars of the show. we ordered seollongtang, kalbi tang, & dduk manduguk - each was topnotch & w/ completely different broths. so quality!

I went there after reading the review and left without being able to eat properly. When I got home and thought about it, I should have just returned it instead of eating it. I don't understand the owner who gave me that as boiled meat. No matter how much I boiled the dried and twisted meat in front of me with the soup, I couldn't chew it. I was so hungry that I tried to stop it. So I couldn't even eat half of it. The more I think about it, the worse I feel. I think I'm going to feel bad leaving it for almost 50 dollars.

Great hot pot for a decent price. We got the bulgogi hot pot and it's a good one to share for two or three people. I'd also recommend the rice cake dumpling soup. The only odd thing was that we were given one water and one cup of tea to share between my boyfriend and I. We asked for another water but just got a refill. Other than that it's a nice place with good food.

Amazing! Best soup we have had in federal way! We had the rice cake dumpling soup and the beef short rib soup! The short rib came with 3 ribs loaded with meat with a hearty broth and clear noodles! The rice cake dumpling soup had a seolleongtang broth and every bite was filled with ingredients! Portion size is very generous! Can’t wait to come back and try more!

Delicious Seolleongtang (beef bone broth) soup - lots of meat and rich flavor. We were all stuffed. Also tried the bulgogi hot pot and seafood pancake both were delicious.Hidden gem, try it out. You won't be disappointed!
The seolleongtang was ok..., but the kimchi was so sweet that I couldn't eat it.
