My favorite Korean restaurant in Washington. If they open another branch in Oregon, I'd visit there every week. My favorite dish is Gamjatang(spicy pork backbone soup).

J

made a togo pork bone stew and pork belly w/squid stir fried.
The pork bone stew smells stale and foul.
They used spoiled meat.
and almost half of the stir fried have cabbage. but the cabbage was too bitter and just like rubber. Pork belly was too dried.
Upset stomach, disgusting and disappointed.
wasting money.

It's the worst.
I normally don't leave reviews, but I'm so angry that I'm posting this.

Last week, I submitted gamjatang and Osam bulgogi, but there was no squid in the Osam bulgogi, and it was filled with only a few pieces of pork belly, steamed cabbage, and uncooked glass noodles.

When I called and talked to them, they told me to come back and say they would do it again, but since I couldn't come back right away, I received credit.
A few days later, they said that was all they would bring, so I ordered extra gamjatang and felt sorry, so I even gave them a tip.

As soon as you eat gamjatang, the soup and meat smell like old savory fish, and I think customers don't know if you make the soup thicker. How long does it take to get a gunny smell,,,,
The pork belly in Osam Bulgogi is as dry as if it was reused, and it is full of cabbage that has been steamed like rubber. The side dishes are also very lackluster.

I was starving to the core, and I immediately threw it all away because I was worried it would upset my stomach. I was going to call again, but I was afraid to eat there again, so I'm just leaving a review. It's so annoying both times.

Never sell food to customers that you think is not right. Rather, it becomes more negative.

Haesong Restaurant used to be a good restaurant in Federal Way, but I am completely disappointed.

Never thought we would stumble upon in this restaurant, it is a hole in the wall. The Ahjummas are helpful and provide us great
service. The food was awesome! Lots of good banchan (side dishes). Love my soybean paste soup. I know the meat was fresh because we were full but not the “I feel bloated and about to throw up” type of full. I love this restaurant! This is now my new favorite Korean restaurant. Will be happy to go back. Parking is easy too.

OMG. Hands down, the BEST mul naengmyun I’ve had anywhere near this area. The broth actually tastes homemade, not like the liquid packets you buy in grocery stores. Service was super fast and friendly. I will definitely be back!

The cold noodles came out thin and were more spicy than necessary.
The broiler sauce had almost no meat, only a lot of green onions, and was spicy. Isn’t the owner Korean?
Fortunately, the side dishes were okay.

There was no service or water refills, so I had to bring my own.

I think it's wrong to add an 18% tip to the bill when the waitress only comes when taking the order and when giving the bill, and never comes in between.

The restaurant itself is more or less a old-school outdated family style Korean restaurant, nothing fancy. Food in general is not good, but can’t say all are bad. We ordered fried dumpling (soso 2/5), seafood pancake ( delicious but too oily 3/5) short rib soup ( no way to eat, undercooked, I guess it needs another two hours in order to eat the rib 0/5), cold buckwheat noodle ( not tasty, the flavour is not what I expected 2/5) , hot stone pot bibimbap( the most satisfied dish, but I don’t think Korean restaurant can make bad bibimbap either 4/5).

However, the service is a bad one. Never got an experience like this. We have four adults and two young kids, th lady first bring us to a place which is difficult to place two high chairs. We point out that there is another table which is more suitable for us, we can see her expressing the unhappy from the face. Then we have to find the high chair by ourselves as I have no idea how come the lady could just disappear after we move to another table. After I returned from the washroom, noticed that only three sets of tableware are prepared, apparently the one preparing the tableware does not know we have four adults, miscommunication between the staffs. After we ate all the dishes except the cold noodle, we have to ask where is the noodle, which is unusual as usually cold noodle shouldn’t be harder than the pancake to prepare, and shouldn’t take such a long time. The worst thing is they just pre-charged 20% tips because we have 6 persons in total, that is totally fine, but without telling us is a No No, as we the added another 15% tips which we don’t really want to give at all.

Never been back again.
