I'm so glad to have found this gem. I grew up in China and I'm vegan. While vegan Chinese food options are common in the US, they are usually limited and taste mediocre, so I had learned to rely on Thai and Vietnamese restaurants to quench my cravings until I found the New Peking Wok. They have a dedicated vegan menu. While not elaborate, each dish is incredibly delicious and flavorful. I don't know how they make them so tasty, and I know what you are thinking - it's not MSG. I am allergic to MSG and they never use it. The food still tastes freaking amazing without me having to worry about getting a migraine the next day. Their dishes are also not greasy like typical American Chinese restaurants. The moo shu tofu with thin pancakes is fantastic, and so are all their tofu dishes, with perfectly fried tofu. The texture and flavor are on point. Don't forget to ask for the chili oil to go with everything (it's flavorful and not spicy). The atmosphere is also very relaxing. With soft piano music in the background, it's easy to have conversations. Aside from the delicious vegan food and relaxing ambiance, the owners Lisa and her husband, the staff (Yun, Angel), and the chefs are all exceptionally friendly. Every time I visit there, I feel like going to see my big auntie and her family. It's not because I happen to have the appearance of a lost Chinese kid in a foreign land, they treat every customer with such kindness and enthusiasm. I only wish I lived closer so I could visit more often. If you love vegan Chinese food, definitely give them a try! Happy Cow doesn't allow 5 stars for restaurants that are not fully vegan, but I appreciate their vegan menu and hope they can incorporate even more vegan food in their selections in the future. Husband approved. Spent less than $50 for 3 large orders. Delicious meals. Although honey walnut shrimp is kinda dry. Servers were so hospitable. They offer complimentary green tea while waiting for our order. Lots of parking.

Wish I had read the reviews before coming here. Food was as poor as described by other recent reviews. When I complained about it, the owner stuck to her story that the food was fresh. But she did admit that the rice was cooked in the morning. I was there for dinner. The meats appear prepared hours earlier with fresh vegetables added. We tried the chicken wings, duck, hot & sour soup, lamb, green beans and Gen Tsao Chicken. The chicken wings and green beens were fresh.

Party of approximately 10. The food was good. But the waitress (the owner) was extremely condescending and rude. She didn't want to make an item that was on the menu because it was time consuming. Multiple times she tried to shame my friend from ordering it. She actually made my friend cry. I will NEVER go back there and neither will my friend.

Our to go order was missing an entree so we had a guest who did not get his meal. Called for refund and employee just set down the phone without saying anything. Very strange. I hung up after a few minutes and tried again later. Our food was very greasy. Bad experience.

We celebrated our mom on Mother's Day. She was thoroughly pleased. All of her children, some of her grandchildren, and a few great grandchildren were present. It was a magnificent time, and the service was outstanding, as was the food. A huge thank you to the staff of the Peking Wok for their attentiveness and sincerity.
