Sub Zero Nitrogen Ice Cream

Sadly the shop closed to the public three months ago and only does catering. Was so looking forward to it.

Jack and his team are absolutely fantastic! We hired them for a holiday party, and everything went off without a hitch. From the start, their communication was prompt and clear, making the planning process a breeze. On the day of the event, the setup was quick and hassle-free, allowing us to focus on enjoying the party. Their warm, inviting presence truly enhanced the atmosphere, and everyone loved the wide variety of ice cream flavors. The experience was a hit all around, and we can't thank the Sub Zero team enough. We will definitely be hiring them again for future events!

It was great. Fast service lots of choices, original, yogurt, custard. And you can choose flavoring and mix in your usual toppings like candy and fruit. I got a small original with Heath for $5. *** Update: They are only open for catering now 😕 11/18/24

Always fun! Good ice cream and a science experiment, what more could you ask for? (I know, Friendly staff, but they have that too!)

Their last day in a retail space. We took 2 of our grands for ice cream for their special birthday time with Nana and Papa. I'm glad Sub Zero will still be available for catering or STEM events.

Worst tasting ice cream I have ever had. We tried both cheesecake and butterscotch and neither one tasted anything like the flavor it was supposed to, or anything good. The cheesecake flavor was sour and the butterscotch tasted like alcohol.

We hired them for our wedding and it was probably everyone's favorite thing of the evening! The ladies were wonderful and very easy going. The ice cream was delicious, my husband ordered a flight of everything we had them bring. Plus, the offered to take awesome pictures of us with the nitrogen!

Ice cream was really good. Service was spectacular. Pretty sure the two workers were making out in the back room when we walked in but we didn't expect anything less at 3:00 on a Wednesday.

The ice cream here is very good. And yes if you get it super cold it will stick to your tongue and freeze it. And it's not that expensive compared to Baskin-Robbins or the other specialty ice cream places around. It's really cool to see the giant liquid nitrogen tank in the restaurant, and watching the employee make the ice cream cold with the nitrogen is pretty spectacular. We did have to wait for 5 minutes when we walked in and because there was nobody attending the counter at all and there is no bell to ring or anything to get their attention. Two employees were in the back of the restaurant and we just stood there waiting and hoping someone would come help us. Made us feel kind of awkward.

Recommended dishes: Create Your Own Ice Cream

For close to $30 for two small bowls, I'd expect more. Bought their Sensations bowls. One scoop of ice cream per bowl for the large. The description said they come with toppings which the staff did not add. When I went back up to the counter to ask for the toppings the excuse I got was the pictures are different then what they actually give customers. Not sure what type of business model that is. For what they are charging I really expected a fantastic experience and ice cream. The ice cream was mediocre at best.

I’ve yet the chance to experience what SubZero is actually about. I do reviews for Yelp, and this is the second occasion now where I’ve come in close to closing and was rejected service. I can’t say that I do not understand, nor know the process the workers go through to service a customer, but I am upset to be denied twice now.

This is my favorite ice cream place!!They freeze the ice cream right in front of you. They freeze it with Liquid Nitrogen. So so so yummy.
