My husband and I made reservations for 6:30pm at Leaderblock for our Christmas Eve Dinner. What a disappointment! The Buffet was set up in a storage room with only three chaffing dishes and looked like they had not been refreshed since noon! Cold food....empty pans...and a real disgrace! The price was $65 per person, plus automatic gratuity. The service was spotty, and I waited for 20 minutes for another glass of wine....which finally was delivered with our check! We would never recommend this restaurant for a Buffet!
Shame on you! Went there for Christmas Eve dinner. Were told it is a “buffet “. It had 6 dishes total!!! All cold. Their burners weren’t even on. AND it was left over mash potatoes and stuffing. Italian restaurant you say. Prime rib was basically out. The containers in some weird adjacent room next to a computer were almost empty, and the whole time we were there nobody brought out more fresh food. And guess how much the bills was - over $200 for 2. Disgusting.
I have dined at a wide variety of restaurants all over the world and yet to have a waitress with such a poor attitude. I had taken my 90 year old mother to thanking dinner and actually got up and left due to poor service and attitude. The owner should look up my contract and call me to discuss this as I would want to know if I were the owner .
This is our favorite place to eat in Ferndale. Whenever we are here for a few days we have dinner here at least once. Everything is delicious and the service is great!!! This time we were celebrating birthdays and they made it special.
Low value. Portions very small. Food did taste good but just seemed like it’s not worth it. As an example ordered a bowl of crab bisque and was a cup of broth. Got a salad that was $18 and about 3-4 bites. Had to go home and eat a sandwich after spending $150+ for the 3 of us.

Overall we would go again. We have been before and had a great experience so we hope this was a one off. Service was spotty and slow. We were not in a hurry but everything took 5-10 minutes longer than natural rhythm would have been comfortable with. We had reservations for our anniversary and the table selection they gave us was terrible. Either in front of a door to another loud room or sticking out into a walk way. Food was as expected. My wife had the pesto which was on the drier side. I tried the lasagna which I felt was very good. She enjoyed mine more. We shared the weekly wine special and had the mousse for dessert.
Such delicious food! We are happy to find a restaurant with this quality of menu so nearby.
I really really want to like Leader Block we come here about twice a year for date nights. Unfortunately, they’ve maxed out my patience and I am not going to be patronizing them anymore. The food, service and atmosphere have gone consistently downhill since I started eating there in 2019. The last time was the worst. The restaurant is filthy. Cobwebs falling from the ceiling fruit flies annoying me the whole meal. Moldy wilted flowers on the table. Nasty food crusted wine glasses from the dishwasher. I had to get 3 wine glasses to find a somewhat clean one and it still had grease and a floating fleck of old food that I had to fish out of it. Paper napkins and butcher paper on the tables? Stale bread with rancid olive oil… and on top of it all… The bill for my husband and I was $230. For that price point these errors are unforgivable. I’m done. Sorry Leader Block, we gave you lots of chances to be good, but you’ve disappointed us for the last time.

We were so excited to go. So disappointed that we did. Very poor service and not all items on the menu available. We asked about specials, told there were none. It took 3 attempts to successfully select a glass of wine that was in stock- noting the price went up with each selection... and the beer a fellow guest wanted (from the menu) was not available, hubby was sad the lasagne listed was not available, and in general the portions were very small. We arrived early for happy hour... no happy hour prices or offerings available (we were seated at 5), chefs dinner specials were offered with the desert menu as we were preparing to leave... and they charge extra for bread!!- (which is really very small slices of “toast”. ) Pricy joint with poor service. We used to go to the Leaderblock in its early days- absolute loved it. But this new version was a complete fail last night. I was a bit embarrassed as I'd invited friends who drove up from Snohomish County- just to meet for dinner. Maybe it was a one off 🤷🏻♀️... and maybe your friend will see my comment and make some improvements... sure hope so. One positive: the salmon was very good.
I truly wanted to enjoy my dining experience at this restaurant, but unfortunately it fell short of expectations. The wait time was so long that I wasn’t able to enjoy my glass of wine with dinner, and I ultimately had to take my meal to go. I ordered the chicken piccata, but the chicken was dry and the vegetables were undercooked when they should have been tender and flavorful.
As someone who appreciates Italian cuisine, I felt my Italian ancestors would be disappointed — it didn’t reflect the care and tradition I associate with this style of cooking. I share this feedback in hopes that it helps the restaurant improve, because I believe with some adjustments they could truly offer a much better dining experience.

I got food to go and it was beyond fantastic, my old fashioned waiting for food was also fantastic. The service was amazing and I really hope everyone enjoys this establishment, I know I did 😎

I would agree that the food is extremely bland.. the bruschetta is literally tomatoes on not even a toasted or seasoned piece of bread.. it’s literally tomatoes on a piece of uncooked bread.. 5 pieces for $15, the fettuccine bolognese with meatballs was $40 and there was more sauce than the pasta.. the mozzarella caprese was so dry and the beets 100% must be out of a can or Trader Joe’s., this is no way authentic Italian.. we don’t live in Ferndale so luckily we will not need to come here again

Good service for overpriced, awful food. First and last time we will be there. Veal dish was sent back because it was so overcooked it could not be cut with a sharp knife. Crab risotto special was like glue. Lasagna had zero bechamel sauce and was laden with cheap, processed cheese in boiling oil. Gross.
Food was amazing, service was amazing, everything about the place was amazing. Dessert was stunning. Would absolutely come here again next time I'm in the area.
