This used to be our favorite and the ice cream variety is still pretty good, but we never see them anymore. Seems like they stick to private parties or they just zoom by your house at random once or twice a month. They don’t update their routes anymore or even what city they’ll be in, so we just stopped looking for them. I hope they get through their growing pains one day and figure it out. The kids driving it are nice, though.

We've had several experiences with Sugar Shack since we moved to Washington in 2018. We absolutely love having a local ice cream truck and have made so many fun memories. We look forward to many more!

Their ice cream truck drove around for an hour blaring music 9-10pm at the birch bay state park campsite. I'm trying to get two little kids to bed... I asked the driver to turn the music off, she said, sure! No dice... Asked again 20min later, she said Quiet hours are not until 10. I doubt that, but still, she ruined a nice quiet evening.[UPDATE] - the music was NOT turned down after I asked the first time. You could hear it clearly across the ENTIRE campground, which is pretty big - obnoxious ice cream truck music for over two hours. I talked to the manager of the campsite and they said this was unacceptable and would be talking with the vendor.

I’ve not had ice cream from the truck, but my relatives just moved here from Denver and I have to say what I just saw drive by their window was the most adorable little ice cream truck I’ve ever seen. We’ll done!

Please take Eli’s review with a grain of salt. He was very rude and created a sour vibe around a tradition of birthday ice cream dessert. Sugar shack was working within the quiet hours of the park and we’re welcomed by the kids and parents camping here. If someone wants to keep kids on a sleep schedule, may I suggest to find a hotel nearby instead of camping. The sugar shack ice cream truck came thru as we requested. Helping continue this tradition. We have been camping at birch bay for many years. And a highlight is the sugar shack ice cream truck. We have many birthdays to celebrate In July and the sugar shack has been a special part of the celebrations. I have always communicated with them thru FB to come thru the state park for bday celebrations. In the years past they have been so accommodating. I was a little nervous with the new ownership but she didn’t skip a beat! She came thru! Kids were excited! And we were able to continue these traditions. Rock on sugar shack! Thank you so much
