Certified gluten glutton here. BRBC reminds me of my favorite bakery in Copenhagen (Hart) where my mission was to try everything on the menu. Their breads are divine intervention. Love this spot!

I had the cinnamon roll, chocolate croissant and an oat milk mocha. They were all delicious. We also got some of the sourdough English muffins! They are the fluffiest English muffins, I have ever seen, I can't wait to try them. The customer service way so friendly!

Wow!! I LOVE your new location. It's beautiful! And so much easier than driving out to Fife. Your sourdough loafs remain the best sourdough I've ever tasted. Congrats.

Best bakery in the Seattle area. Unfortunately they are open only Saturday and Sunday mornings and their Tacoma location closed. They also only sell certain items on Saturday (not Sunday) and when they run out, they don't make more so if you want more selection, you should visit Saturdays. I wish they made more of the lemon cruffins. No one else makes them, they are so good and they run out so fast Saturday mornings. But all the bakery treats I've had there are amazing and better than the 5 other bakeries I've been to in the area, including Dhalia bakery in Seattle.

I came here after seeing it recommended on a Korean thread, and today was my first visit. I showed up as soon as I woke up, expecting a long wait, and there were already quite a few people there.

I was a little disappointed that they didn’t have baguettes or pain au chocolat at the time, but that disappointment quickly disappeared once I tasted the bagels and sourdough bread—they were absolutely incredible. I usually bake bread at home, but this visit made me truly understand why people buy bread. The warmth and freshness were just amazing.

I’ll definitely be coming back—10,000% 😊
As a Korean, I was especially sad that I couldn’t get the gochujang bread this time, so that’s at the top of my list for my next visit.

Everyone here was so friendly, especially the young woman at the cashier counter. Her cheerful smile genuinely made my day. Next time, I’m definitely getting the baguette, pain au chocolat, and the gochujang bread!

The best sourdough bread available in the PNW. Can’t recommend them highly enough. Wonderful product and great friendly staff.

This morning I made my first visit to the Balloon Roof Baking Company. I had intended to purchase some plain croissants, but when I walked in and saw the selection of pastries...things got out of hand. 😂

The viennoiserie - pastry made from laminated dough - is gorgeous, perfect, redolent of butter, and shatters into tiny shards when you bite into it. I was surprised, and delighted, to see that they render their cinnamon rolls in laminated dough, too - a creative idea that I had never seen deployed before.

The staff were kind, and took pains to package my purchase in a way that I could easily transport it home.

The pastries are not cheap (about $4 - $6 per piece for the ones I looked at and bought), but are definitely worth the prices charged. I picked up extra to share with neighbors, and I'm sure they'll love their pastries, too.

The bread & English muffins are amazingly delicious but don't go if you're a penny pincher. Expect to pay about $12 a loaf and $12 for 4 English muffins.
