We were looking for a bakery to get good whole grain bread. You know the homemade bread with 12 grains and good rye, that is better than the institutionalized bread. So as my go to guide I yelped it! And up popped Kusher Bakery. You know I had to go and today we went there. It's an Eastern European bakery, and grocery store with products from multiple Eastern Europe countries. The selections are very good and then there is the bread baked daily except on Sunday. A bonus is the fact all the fresh baked bread can be sliced for you or you can take it home and slice it yourself. Having this service is great. Dark rye, 12-grain, and others that are....... well too many and all looked delicious. There is fresh baked Lavash, soft and delicious and many of the breads were still warm and fresh. The fresh piroshki! Awesome to say the least, Chicken, Cheese, Cabbage, and Apricot were available and hot. Look you can go to the other market on 70th and get very good stuff and pay quite a lot more, or go to Kusher and get a better selection and pay reasonable prices. Yes it is smaller but bigger is not always better and having this small place is a positive. For me Kusher wins hands down. So go, look around and get some awesome stuff.

Cute store. Admittedly, it feels a little dark and damp compared with the recently opened Emish Market down the street but I actually think this Kusher store is better. It just feels a bit more cozy and authentic. The variety of imported goods is slightly larger here and there is a self-serve bakery rack of sorts with Piroshkys and Strudels that were so delicious and cheap and had a very distinct European taste to them. The freezer also had a surprisingly large variety of farmer's cheeses and meats.

Great selection and people. Reminds me of the neighborhood stores in Chicago from my childhood.?

It is a pleasant unassuming store. Plenty of choice in the refrigerator section. Fresh baked delicious bread and of course pirozhki. I like the prices too.

Saw an employee from the bakery first tidy up the area near the pirozhki section, and then started sorting baked poppyseed ones on the tray without washing hands or putting plastic gloves on. Hard to understand why customers are provided with gloves and food tongues when we pick a few, but employees can touch baked goods with their hands.

Adorable Bakery and General Store.Their rates are really reasonable, and they have excellent produce.I can guarantee that the affordability and the incredible softness and freshness of the homemade loaves will win you over.Get out and look. Even though this is a Polish store, I still shop here due of the low prices offered to people of color. It seems like a pizza business from the outside, but it's actually a bakery and convenience store. If you're a chef, all I can say is: go check it out for yourself.

Really neat little bakery with sweets and packaged goods. Lady behind register was helpful in helping me find macaroons and was very nice.

After ownership has changed all I can say they don’t appreciate your money. Few things to list that I’ve experienced last few times. 1- Fresh baked goods quality has went down. 2- Meat (many). Is that expired 3- rude customer customer and last is there price gouging is insane. I get inflation but 45% + price increase is not realistic.

Check the dates of expiration most of the stuff it’s expired or going to be expired they have a lot of stuff expired, the bread is good when it’s fresh
