I always enjoy stopping by at the bar when Jill’s working. She’s makes everyone feel welcome with a smile and makes the perfect martini!

Good food, friendly service. We're treated like welcome old friends. The staff remembers who likes cream in their coffee, the customers' favorite jam...I don't know how they do it but it sure is great. Casual, comfortable, yummy.

This is by far the best Mexican I have had in Washington since moving here. (They serve Mexican 3 nights a week but are also an amazing breakfast food). The building was beautiful with great staff and a warm atmosphere. If you are ever on the island definitely check this place out.

This is not fast food, came for the lunch at 2:30 had to leave for work at 3:30 and the food hadn’t arrived. This is not authentic Mexican food. Enchiladas were made with a gravy and were flavorless. Really slow service. Never got the water we asked for at the beginning of the meal. Don’t waste your time or money.

Everything you'd hope to get at a small-town cafe! The fish and chips were a 20/10! Light and crispy on the outside, tender and delicious on the inside. The bacon and blue burger was also A+! First time there but we'll be back. Breakfasts look like a definite try for our next trip. Super friendly, attentive service worth leaving a fat tip!

This has become a terrible place in recent years. it used to be a fine place to eat. we went there recently around 6PM, dinner time on one of the days they were open for dinner. Just a few people there and it took almost an hour to get a cheeseburger and fries, and a salad with chicken. The salad was not fresh or good. Some just was really off. We won't be returning.

Went here for food shown on website, didn't know it was Mexican food only..no problem, we love Mexican!Service was prompt, friendly and the margaritas sooo tasty!But.. the food.. large servings, but so bland. No flavor or seasonings at all. Too bad because everything else was good.

We were visiting Whidbey and this cafe was an available breakfast spot. We received no greeting when we entered. The waitress walked up to us and said "2." Then sat us in a back corner by the bathroom. When I asked if it was possible to get blueberry pancakes with a breakfast, I was told no. I ended up ordering each item a la carte. The food was well made, but the waitress ignored us after dropping it off. She had no problem speaking with the regular customers behind us for 10 minutes. I got the impression that, if you aren't a local you don't belong at this cafe. We were never checked on, never received any refills, and I had to chase her down for boxes and our check. To top it all off, I went outside and someone had hit the back end of my car!Parking: My car was hit in the back parking lot, beware.

Please keep supporting this local treasure. Clean, good service, comfort food, full bar, all day breakfast. Great!!

Employees have a complete lack of customer service and professionalism. I'm questioning how they are still in business. The one time I went they were out of everything and the stuff they did have they refused to sell for various reasons.

Consistently good food and service at reasonable prices. Freeland Cafe is one of my favorite local restaurants.

Quaint and friendly service. Food is solid. Some of the reviews on here seem to forget this is a small town diner their food is home cooked.Relax and enjoy your coffee a story about who's cows are lose or who hit a seagull this week. Takes you back to the simpler times, stop on in and enjoy a nice breakfast or my favorite has been their Cafe dip. Worth the stop.

It took 1 hour to get our food. Sat in the bar area. Waitress/bartender attitude was terrible. Food OK but service stinks. Never again ?
