What a delight! Excellent food and service in an intimate setting! The food was excellent. I can’t say what could have made this meal any better.

Hard to find and did not quite live up to hype but very good. Fresh local seafood. They barely have a sign and parking is not paved, but that adds to fun.

Fantastic dinner. Great food. Warm atmosphere. A little tricky to find the entrance but that added to the charm and experience. Would absolutely come back.

I ordered the pork chops and #5 on drinks for our dinner. I don't remember the drink name. The food is no doubt good and well prepared but the price point was definitely very high for the quantity of food served. I wouldn't recommend this place if you want to eat out on a budget. The environment was cool and a little hard to find at first specially at night.

The food was amazing! It's been two years and I am sorry for this late review, bit we were just telling our friends last night about this place.

Back Door Kitchen was the perfect setting for our anniversary celebration in early September. It was a warm evening so we sat in the beautiful patio/garden. Our server was both knowledgeable and efficient, and the meal was memorable. I especially enjoyed the Lemon Drop cocktail and the Masa Corn Cake appetizer. Both entrees (scallops and duck) were expertly prepared and presented. We were also delighted that the wine list features superb Mexican wines from the Guadalupe Valley in Baja California, one of our personal favorite destinations. All in all, a great fine dining experience.

I am a pretty boring diner - always order scallops when I'm eating out if they're on the menu. Fortunately, the Backdoor Kitchen always has them on their menu. They are served with veggies and a delicious risotto like patty. Just delicious.

A hidden gem in Friday Harbor. The restaurant is tucked behind a furnie consignment store. Big open red doors welcome you to this intimate spot. Our waiter Elliott was the highlight of the experience. super warm and friendly. and Generous. We had a veggie yam Thai platter that was superb. Farro and feta cheese salad chock full of tiny currents with a lemony dressing and a fried cheese dish...cant go wrong w fried anything but this was detailed with sliced grapes and nuts...very yum. all in all a great night.

We ended up not eating here since the menu was so limited on a Wednesday. We were told the full menu is only available on the weekends. Also we couldn't find the place. No signage!

Ok, yes, it was very good, but i didn't think itlived up to the prior billings. Crispy duck, with skiin that asn't crispy, but soft and chewy. The meat was very tasty and the balance of the dish was very good. Service was good. It's a good restaurant, high end, but tonight it didn't deliver for us.
