“The cafe across the street recommended me this place and told us that they had really good low priced food and they were right, 7 dollars for a sandwich is a great price. The service was also amazing the guy working there was funny and nice. Thank you I’ll be coming back.”
“Really solid sandwiches, and great fresh baked cookies (for real, the warm chocolate chip cookies changed my life, don't tell my cardiologist). The roast beef sandwich was great, but the warm turkey sandwich stole the show. The bread was delicious. I think I'll go back for lunch today.”
“This restaurant was such a great option. The food was simply amazing, as was the service. We tried an assortment of items, including the oysters (duh), the lingcod and dungeness crap dip (get extra hungarian peppers), the waffles, the lamb (outstanding) and pork chop. I also had the "Smokeless Cigar" beverage, which was also excellent. A tryly enjoyable dining experience here on the Island.”
“This pizza was amazing. The lovely person who served us tonight understood the boyfriends allergy and made ordering fast and efficient. We got the pear and prosciutto pizza with pesto instead of red sauce and yummy!”
“Thai chicken pizza, French dip, ranch chicken wrap, dumplings, fried green beans & kids meals~ thank you!Kid-friendliness: Pizza, chicken tenders, chocolate milk!”
“We saw the pictures of the food and chose this restaurant and i’m glad we chose Tina’s for breakfast, and that will be our go to at SJ. Kid friendly, great food, and service. Would highly recommend.”
“When you're confronted with 16 dollar salads, 13 dollar appetizers, 10 dollar drinks... Go here and get a sandwich unequalled in the nearest 100 miles, for (currently) 13 bucks. Support a business that hires good people. Buy a sandwich better than you can get in most places in Portland or Seattle. My order, a Corned beef, ez sourkraut, 1000island, jalapenos, havarti on rye. Perfectly soggy, lots of meat, perfect spice. Why do I eat anywhere else when I visit?Kid-friendliness: They have kids meals for cheap.”
“I came to Friday Harbor for a couple days this past summer and I will say, Riptide Cafe has to be one of the best spots in the town. I got breakfast here every morning and it was 10/10 every time. Lines tend to be a little long in the mornings but for me it was not a huge issue as my food came out relatively quickly. They have incredible smoothies and delicious breakfast sandwiches. Not a ton of seating inside but plenty outside with a gorgeous view of the docks right there! Overall I think this place is a wonderful spot, if you come to Friday Harbor make sure to give this place a visit.”
“Such a neat place to shop for wonderful island originals. And delicious home made pastries. Lots of friendly people and lots of dogs to pet!! A must do if you are on the island on a Saturday morning!”
“Cute waterfront cafe in Roche Harbor, at the top point of Friday Harbor. The restaurant has a pretty view of the water and marina. There are both table and booth seating options, and they serve breakfast (til 11am) as well as lunch. (They also have coffee drinks and fresh made doughnuts.)Our party ordered pork and chicken tacos, a turkey sandwich, BLT, and fish & chips. Everyone enjoyed their food! ?️ ?Definitely a solid option for lunch if you’re visiting Friday Harbor in the San Juans.”
“Really excited that this place was as good as it is. Went in with lower expectations as it’s a hard climate to grow grapes. They grow all the white varietals on the island and bring in the red from their parent wineries in Walla Walla. ALL of their wines were great, we were impressed. Our background is in wine and we come from Napa so it’s just a testimony that good wine can come from anywhere when it’s done right. Thanks for a great tasting, we’ll be back with more people.”
“We had a perfect meal last Saturday- undoubtedly the best dinner out we have had on the island in the past year. Nuanced and subtle food in a relaxed and intimate atmosphere. What a welcome addition to the island!”
“Really lovely restaurant between Roche and Friday Harbors. We were set by a roaring fire and they were playing Brighteyes songs in the background. Wonderful food and wine and service.”
“Everything we ate was delicious! The staff were also very kind and attentive. This restaurant is very clean and has a wide selection of wines. We were given fresh bread to start, with olive oil and vinegar already at the table. I would definitely come back for special occasions. I will say it doesn’t have much of a view of the water from inside, if that’s important to you.”
“Bonnie at the hostess stand was my favorite part of the experience. From when I called into make my reservation to her conversation as she sat us. She has lived in town for 36 years and she clearly loves her job and village.”
