“Last year, I had the pleasure of visiting the incredible Orcas Cafe. However, today's review focuses on the present moment. My girlfriend, who is currently in Orcas for business, was having a rough morning. Despite being miles away in Texas, I desperately wanted to be there to comfort her with a hug. So, I called and Ryan, the GM picked up the phone.I inquired if his team could deliver a flower or, at the very least, an oatmeal raisin cookie (a small gesture she would recognize as from me). Ryan went above and beyond, swiftly arranging for the treat to be delivered. When my girlfriend called to express her gratitude, it warmed my heart. Ryan, your assistance meant the world to me. When we next visit, I insist on treating you to a drink or two. Sincerely, a grateful and loyal patron.E”

“Wow! What an incredible bar. It is so cozy and comfortable. We had the charcuterie and i can hardly recall tasting so many new flavors at once. The owner Mike made me the best Old Fashioned I've ever had. I will come back every time i come to Orcas.”

“Good customer service—had a less than stellar first experience and they quickly responded and remedied it…Their croissants are a little on the hard side if you’re used to soft, flaky croissants, but their other foods are good. Went back for their carrot cake and it was the BEST.”

“This is a small little shop right in back of a grouping of small shops. Cole is the owner and does a great job of helping you feel welcome. He's knowledgeable and personable. There's a sort behind the artwork on the wine labels and he's happy to talk with you about the friends that created the art. We sat outside and did a 5 wine tasting. We are almost finished but will bring some wine and lovely memories home with us”

“The cafe across the street recommended me this place and told us that they had really good low priced food and they were right, 7 dollars for a sandwich is a great price. The service was also amazing the guy working there was funny and nice. Thank you I’ll be coming back.”

“Super lovely restaurant with gorgeous views. We had the sausage, gravy and biscuits which were really delicious and filling. “Hands down BEST BBQ EVER! Had the Brisket platter with Cornbread and Mac. To top it off, what a great atmosphere! The weather was great had bbq in the sun! ☀️ in my opinion it’s MY BEST FOOD EXPERIENCE ON ORCAS!”

“Really solid sandwiches, and great fresh baked cookies (for real, the warm chocolate chip cookies changed my life, don't tell my cardiologist). The roast beef sandwich was great, but the warm turkey sandwich stole the show. The bread was delicious. I think I'll go back for lunch today.”

“Definitely worth a stop if you’re on Lopez. We didn’t have a reservation but they managed to squeeze us in at 4:30 and boy are we glad. The Hamachi sashimi was exquisite and all of the ramens we got (3 different kinds) were delightful. Such a wonderful meal for a chilly evening.”

“We had the best meal we’ve had in a long time at Monti. We are on the island celebrating my wife’s birthday and this was the perfect meal. The pommes panisse was insane. The paparadelle was so good. The N.A. cocktails were phenomenal. Definitely worth your time and money to have this truly special dining experience.”

“There is just 1 slight downfall I can think of and it was that the food took a little while to come out and the appetizer came at the same time as the main course. I imagine that's b/c it is a small establishment, maybe only 1 cook which leaves me with a but...and a big BUT...everything else was absolutely incredible! Probably the best cocktails I've had, as they certainly do NOT skimp on the alcohol and the food was very tasty! This is my new go-to place. I was VERY pleased! “Stopped in for ice cream after dinner while waiting for our ferry. I had the blackberry - it was so creamy and had a very fresh blackberry flavor. I would get it again in a heartbeat.Also bought the huckleberry gummy bears and huckleberry tea bags. Haven't tried the tea yet. But the gummy bears are... ok... kinda good and kinda weird. The initial flavor is very perfumey, tastes a little like soap. But as you chew the flavor softens to more of the berry flavor. Not sure they are worth the $9 we paid for the bag.”

“This restaurant was such a great option. The food was simply amazing, as was the service. We tried an assortment of items, including the oysters (duh), the lingcod and dungeness crap dip (get extra hungarian peppers), the waffles, the lamb (outstanding) and pork chop. I also had the "Smokeless Cigar" beverage, which was also excellent. A tryly enjoyable dining experience here on the Island.”

“Always visit local coffee shops!Spent the day island hopping and gladly picked up a drink here while on Lopez. I was pleased to see they had an extensive menu of coffee & related beverages, as well as specialty shop related items like handcrafted mugs. It all worked together to give this little shop a cozy feel on an overcast fall day.Staff was friendly, parking was easy, drinks were cheap, and I’d totally come back.We really appreciated getting to sit and chill for a few minutes, too. Overall, great local coffee and shop!”

“Joanna's operates out of a blue food-truck parked 90% of the time behind Ray's Pharmacy in Templin Center of Eastsound on Orcas Island. The food is El Salvadoran and the taste is amazing!! You have to try their Chicken Quesadillas, or their burritos! The tacos they serve are simply delightful as well. This is a hard-working family and I hope they stay on Orcas Island for a very long time!”

“Excellent service for the instant rush of customers. We walked in #3 and within minutes the line was out door. Moved fast! Good espresso, big brownies fresh, no stale pastries on a late morning Friday. Parking is a bit tight (not Holly B's issue), lots of outdoor seating and bicycle parking.”
