First Son offers a chef’s counter tasting menu that is a ten‑course experience. Guests sit at the chef’s counter to watch plating and cooking, a unique view. The menu is curated, creative and beautifully presented, using locally farmed and foraged sources. Each dish is a masterpiece and tastes like art. Service is thoughtful and personal, staff are kind, meticulous, open to all who dine and happy to chat about each dish. The wine pairings are exceptional. The restaurant is a destination for the island, not just an add‑on. It is a splurge but worth the experience. Many guests celebrate birthdays or anniversaries here and the chef personalizes the menu. A bakery on Sundays from 9‑11 am offers authentic French pastries, and Philly cheesesteaks are served on Thursdays. Guests can also visit Little Table for pastries for an end‑to‑end experience.
