Golden Triangle Reviews
Every time we visit the island of San Juan my husband and I make a point of going to the Golden Triangle in Friday Harbor. It has the BEST Thai food ever! We travel a lot and since our favorite cuisine is Thai, we often seek out Thai restaurants. Golden Triangle wins “hands down” for delicious, authentic meals, cheerful atmosphere and very friendly, accommodating staff. Don’t miss it if you are on the island. 5 stars!
Menu mentions most food can be made vegan. The server was able to advise which ones weren’t great as vegan dishes and which would be great.
We dropped in for lunch. Fortunately not crowded so they helped us immediately. The choices were menu items which they would could, or hot items in the glass case that were ready to serve. We chose items from the glass case. Everything was excellent. The soup, which we ordered, came quickly and was not only delicious, but filled with noodles and other things, not watery at all.\n\nService was quick and pleasant. Golden Triangle is a restaurant known for its delicious and fresh Thai food. The menu offers a variety of dishes, including many options for vegetarians and vegans. Almost all dishes can be made with tofu instead of meat, and the staff is knowledgeable about fish sauce in their dishes, helping customers make informed choices. The presentation of the food is visually appealing, and the service is attentive and friendly. Standout dishes include the Yam Neua, Kang Ped Curry, and a large Khao Soi, which is especially comforting on wet and chilly days. The pad Thai is also a favorite among customers. The portion sizes are generous, and prices are reasonable for the location. The restaurant has a cozy ambiance with a small patio for outdoor dining. It is a great place for lunch, especially for those waiting for the ferries. The lunch buffet is highly favored, with many people coming in to pick up to-go boxes. Despite being very popular and busy at lunchtime, Golden Triangle is not open all day, which is a downside mentioned by customers. Overall, it is a highly recommended dining spot for those looking to try something different from pad Thai.
