New Leaf Cafe Reviews
Had a really lovely dinner at New Leaf - ordinarily we go for breakfast which is always quite good. Had the 6oz filet and it was genuinely one of the best cuts of meat I've had in a long time (I subbed-in the fries). The cheesecake was also excellent (although the portion was a bit small). Great service too.
Highly recommend it!
Dropped in at the happy hour at the recommendation of a local. We ordered each item on the happy hour menu - sliders, fries, french onion soup, pickled vegetables, and caeser salad - and shared them among the 4 of us. Food was pretty good. Service was fine but waitress wasn't overflowingly talkative or friendly. Still professional and competent though.
We didn't like that happy hour customers had to sit in a specific space indoors (with less light, fewer windows, no view)....read full review
Brunch here is just great! A variety of Benedicts done beautifully with excellent ingredients. Amazing breakfast potatoes. Love the airy vibe and the ocean view. Even the chairs were remarkably comfortable. I found the service to be indifferent, but that's my only quibble. Not cheap but it's worth it. I would definitely recommend eating here!

New Leaf Cafe offers delicious food and excellent service, making it a great dining option on Orcas Island. The restaurant boasts a charming atmosphere and beautiful views of Indian Island, East Sound, and the surrounding area. Standout menu items include the Southern-style biscuit and sausage gravy, as well as their unique horseradish-infused bloody mary. Guests can also enjoy the Eggs Benedict, known for its tangy, creamy hollandaise sauce and perfectly poached eggs, along with the Wild Mushroom Omelette featuring sun dried tomatoes for added flavor. Many visitors consider it the best breakfast on the island, with some mentioning that the waffles are especially loved. The meals are well portioned and very flavorful, and the restaurant partners with a local bakery to serve fresh bread for toast. The atmosphere is nice, though seating next to the patio door can result in being blasted with cold air. Service has been described as attentive and knowledgeable, contributing to a memorable dining experience despite some mixed feedback on consistency. During a visit, guests can expect a welcoming environment with great food and views.
