Epically rude bartender playing some of the worst music I've ever heard in a dark basement. What happened to this spot?

look up from his phone. He was terribly rude. The "house music" was gangster rap, every single song laden with f-bombs and the n word. It was piped outdoors, where kids and families were waiting for sight seeing boats! I asked him to turn it down or change it, but his response was, "He didn't have any control over that" I'd been here and enjoyed a beer several times before, but if this is their new business strategy, They should "cease and desist" being in business.

Phil was not nice!!! Rude and not nice. He was grumpy and we were trying to bring the atmosphere to be in a good place and he wouldn't budge on being calm and nice

Worst service ever. I never leave reviews, but whoever runs this place needs to know. This guy absolutely does not care about your establishment. Great spot, with great potential, sad the employee is extremely rude.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the "Cease and Desist" bar in Friday Harbor, and let me tell you, it was an experience like no other! I was greeted by Phil, who had a smile so bright, it could guide ships to shore. Then there was Mike, who, bless his heart, misled me about the nature of how islands are. I mean, who knew they were actually connected to the ocean floor? I thought they just floated around! The night was filled with laughter, thanks to Josiah's never-ending supply of dad jokes, and Max's dance moves that can only be described as "unique." And let's not forget Julio, who managed to mix a cocktail that tasted exactly like my confusion about geography. Now, I must mention my only disappointment of the night: the whales. I was promised whales, and there were none to be seen. I'm pretty sure it's Mike's fault. He probably scared them away with his wild theories about islands. All in all, I'm giving this place five stars because it's in a league of its own. If you're looking for a night filled with laughter, questionable dance moves, and a geography lesson you didn't know you needed, "Cease and Desist" is the place to be. Just don't ask Mike about the whales.

My friends and I popped in for a beer on a sunny summer afternoon. We were not greeted. Guy was rude when my friend asked him a few questions. Seemed like he hated us and his job. Such a bummer. Won't be back and would never recommend. The vibe and energy was so bad.

A cool beer-house with lots of games and unique beers on tap. Worth stopping in and checking out, but San Juan brewing is likely a better spot to spend your time on the island.

Great selection of beer of various styles. Beertender friendly. Nice location on the afternoon shady side overlooking the harbor. Wished this place was closer to home, but a short, safe walk to our moorage slip.

The views of the harbor are amazing as well as the selection of craft beers. Bar tender very knowledgeable and made sure to have Ruse for me both nights.

Portland beer scene transported to the islands. Excellent.
