Today was their last day in business. It is now closed. Super amazing owner and we wish her the best in her retirement. Thanks for being outstanding until the very end.

This is a go-to place for locals and out of towners alike. Off the main streets but still in Friday Harbor core the cozy atmosphere and really great menu require repeat visits - thx to the good staff and to Cynthia herself Extra credit for the amazing community services supported by this business

Wasn't impressed, got a raspberry croissant, with no raspberry in it. She heated it but it was still cold in the center. It was also a bit stale. My coffee was sorta ok. Not a super comfortable seating area. Place doesn't ring my bell, but I'll try it again one of these days to give it another chance.

It's so hard to find gluten free, let alone good gluten free. Get the pancakes for brunch, they won't disappoint.

We were seated outside and it was lovely. However, my sister ordered a cinnamon roll, the main reason we went here for brunch and while the rest of our meals came, the cinnamon roll never did. We asked where it was and we're told oh I don't think we have anymore... we didn't receive the one we paid for so how can that be. The gal at the register sighed and said she'll ask in the back. The manager came out and said "oh we're sorry, the cinnamon roll was sold to someone else." Outstanding. She asked if we wanted something else or our money back. We asked for our money back to which they got irritated and seemed to reluctantly give back our few dollars.

Came for breakfast, had the friends with Benedict bowl. It was phenomenal. Daughter had Swedish pancakes, she loved them. $2.00 coffee, all you can drink. The service was exceptional. Small place, there may be a wait during peak times.

What a fun place! We came here for brunch during a long work day and the people here made us feel at home! We talked about everything while we ate delicious breakfast skillets. The coffee and pastries were on point ? and we would have gone the next day if we could. We were told the sweet breakfast items like French toast were very

Tasty healthy breakfast options with great coffee! I had the vegetable scramble and my spouse had the yogurt bowl. Everything was fresh and delicious. Cute cottage setting too!

buckle up because this is going to be exhaustive.first, the food: everything was grossly under seasoned and the presentation was lacking. the hollandaise on the eggs benedict was practically unsalted, and the swedish pancakes came out cold. breakfast bowls with vegetables and egg were also lacking salt, and i found a hair in my breakfast bistro bowl. items did not come out according to their menu description (ex missing a piece of toast, missing the english muffin component in the eggs benedict), and portions were smaller than expected for the prices.next, the service: the wait was egregiously long. for the amount and quality of food we received, this should’ve been a more efficient meal, but we waited for over 45 min. the staff seemed to recognize toward the end that the kitchen was backed up and started letting new patrons know of the wait times, but we were not given any updates about the food progress until one of the table members got up to inquire. we only received two carafes of water which we quickly finished, yet nobody came to check in or replenish it during our wait.atmosphere: this was the one positive of the experience, but not overwhelmingly so. it’s a quaint restaurant on a nice street, decorated with local art, and adheres to the charming environment of san juan island.if you’re looking for a spot that SEEMS like it’ll have good food and fits in with the atmosphere of friday harbor, check it out. if you want actually decent food and service then keep it moving.

Food was very expensive and they up charged for everything. Paid extra to get bacon and it was burnt. Potatoes were undercooked. Had to order at counter and had to hunt down a waitress to get water.

Service was atrocious. Didn’t receive part of our meal. Asked waitress about it, no verbal response, 15 minutes later items arrived cold. No explanation or acknowledgment when we said it was too late to eat with our meal. I understand in this time of under staffed businesses but this was surprisingly bad. In addition tip was taken when food is ordered so no way to give feedback.

Seat yourself, order and pay at the counter, get your own water, slow with no service follow-up. Limited seating inside (small and cramped tables) outside seating has huge umbrellas at each table with dirty cushions seat pads. The bowls were good, gluten free pancakes were thin and flat. The menu doesn't list all of the items that are posted in reviews or online.

Waited over an hour to finally be told our food order was never placed. I never did get my drink or our food. Left starving and laughing at what a joke of a set up this place is and since we never got our food- who knows if it would even be worth a long wait. One staff member brought us two glasses with no water and several staff walked by us at least 25 times and never bothered to ask if we needed anything- instead they stood at the back area in the main room and ate- unbelievable?? OH, and the kicker is that they ran out of milk and other basic food ingredients for their limited menu and we watched the owner show up with groceries? I get it, its an island - logistics and all but this was comical. Work it out before you open the door. The whole process of ordering and food delivery was unorganized. The staff were constantly yelling at people to go outside or sit down and look at the menu and decide what they want before they get in line. I don't know- maybe resolve this ciaos with a window out front opened to take orders, possibly put the menus outside the door with some simple signage to direct customers on what the heck you expect from them. Truly wondering if the fire marshal would shut this place down since the only entrance/exit is blocked by the line of people out the door. Do NOT go here if visiting Friday Harbor for a day trip only. We looked this place up and were excited to try it but sadly everything went wrong. We did not let it ruin our day on the island- but they certainly wasted our time and will waste yours- skip this place and go somewhere else.

If you want to be treated horribly and not actually eat, sure try it. If you want to actually get your food and some type of service- skip this place. It was a complete fail for us. We picked this place based on a recommendation and wished we had not! We were only in Friday Harbor for the day and we headed straight here to eat after getting off the ferry. What a mistake. We waited over an hour and never did get our food. I would have not minded the longer wait but the staff was useless and busy doing their own thing, rather than attending to the paying customers. We were told our food order was never placed over an hour after patiently waiting. I never did get my drink order either. One staff member brought us two glasses with no water and several staff walked by us several times and never asked if we needed anything- instead they stood at the back area in the main room and they ate - while many customers waited forever to get their food and watched them eat- unprofessional and truly terrible service. The owner really needs to work out the problems with this set up and their staff.
