An absolute MUST if you are visiting the island. The owners are so welcoming and we had the most wonderful time chatting and enjoying the atmosphere. We can't wait to come back with more friends.

Wow!!! What a wonderful place!! Great wine selection, awesome service and spectacular view. Will definitely be back on my next visit to FH! Really think this place is a jewel of FH!!!

Wow!! Just happened to find this place because of a cancelled ferry.... What a great view and ambiance! The service was amazing! And the wine selection was wonderful... very thankful that I found this place ... IMHO - THIS IS THE FH WINE DESTINATION -will definitely be back!!!
Pros:-Nice view-The wine we had was good-There are heatersCons:-There is no wine menu? The owner came up to us as if making small talk, asking us what kind of wines we like, then left and brought us two glasses of wine that, admittedly, we enjoyed. But she never told us that she was going to pick our wine for us, so we were sort of blind-sided by this method. Then, when the bill came, of course it turned out each glass was $17/each, whereas we probably would have picked something cheaper.-The vibe, partly because of above, was just generally uncomfortable. The owner is a little too talkative and sort of chased us out. Including my wife and I, during our one-glass stay, 3 other couples came, had one glass, and quickly left. One couple came, sat, obviously became uncomfortable, and left without ordering anything.-There is no food despite this being advertised on their website.-The fact that this place has 15 5-star reviews that are out of this world (and mention the owner by name) tells me that the owner has 15 friends who left her good reviews, which is a bummer and partly the reason that I decided to leave a review. Our experience was VERY discordant with the other reviews.-I hate seeing businesses respond to negative reviews by being aggressive and rude. Just suck up your pride, write "we're sorry you had a bad time", and try to please the next person. I guess we'll see if I get a response.Overall, 2 stars for a nice view and good wine, but the no-menu thing and the overall vibe here were major detractors. Like I said, we quickly left (and had to make up that we had dinner reservations because the owner asked us why we were leaving...).In the future, consider saying to your guests "I can get you a wine menu or I can pick a wine I think you might like based on your taste and price point". We would not come back here.

Friday Harbor Skybar is such a unique gem with a beautiful view of the sound, and it’s a must stop if you’re visiting the island. Bex, the owner, came out and spoke to us about the wines, and her journey to start the skybar. She is incredibly knowledgeable on all things wine and had just the most interesting stories to share. The weather was beautiful, but a bit chilly, so the heaters came in handy.

We had a lovely time drinking wine flights and chatting with Bex. Lots of fun! Beautiful view!! Make sure to ask her about her chinchillas:)

I’m completely charmed by this relaxed, friendly, neighborhood wine bar with the best and most beautiful view of the harbor that you could hope for. It’s small and you have to find it on the rooftop (there’s a small elevator tucked away behind Cask and Schooner). I understand they have over 200 various wines to choose from, so Bex (the owner - and a French trained winemaker herself!) can ask you for your favorite tastes and she will find a great selection for you to discover! I asked for some snacks, and loved how they came out in sustainability-friendly bamboo trays. Most importantly, you should get the BX Syrah, which you can’t get anywhere else in America, and is my favorite Syrah. (I am mostly a cab drinker, so get this Syrah only if you like a great, dark red)

Over in Friday harbour when travelling around area , went for dinner excellent friendly service , watched the chef cook meals. Owner really friendly ! Not much for vegetarians ! But good choice seafood freshly cooked , full bar . Negative point toilets . Not cheap but not too expensive ! Would definitely return if travelling again x
The crabcakes I had were mediocre at best, meagre and greasy, and vastly overpriced. However, service was wonderful.
4% upcharge if you purchase certain food items with a credit card. (Posting at counter) Water....a charge Tip...looking for 18%,even though you place order at counter, grab your own drinks, bus your table. The only "service" they do is bring your food out. Food....okay Bottom line...go somewhere else unless you want to pay a massive premium for of the ferry dock.
