Disappointing. Green goddess hummus and crab waffles were great. Those would be solid 4 star. The fresh catch of the day of the day was terrible. Mushy poached salmon in a plain broth with under cooked noodles and overcooked mushrooms which were a one star.

Wine was odd. Tasted fine but not opened at the table which was odd.

They definitely have a nice twist on food BUT what is the point to have nice twist if everything that they serve barely room temperature. Woud not return and would not recommend.

This place is excellent. Writing this as I’m sitting down and enjoying one of the best steaks ever.

This place is very accommodating and the staff goes above and beyond.

Get some oysters, bread, any of the salads, definitely the steak, and a cocktail. You’ll be so happy you did.

Foodies will delight in this wonderful gem of a restaurant. Local fare, lovingly plated like artwork. Everything was incredibly flavorful and a true joy to eat. I used a spoon for every last bite! The variety of fresh oysters recommended to me were excellent - briny, creamy and shucked at the bar for viewing. I thoroughly enjoyed my halibut (Catch of the Day) loaded with fresh, local garden flavors. And my husband’s lamb was cooked to perfection with a lovely cherry sauce and shoestring potatoes atop. Desserts were equally delicious, with such lively berry flavor that I felt I had just picked them myself. Our server was warm, friendly and offered the perfect amount of guidance and table-side banter. O Y S T E R T A L E is a joy and not to be missed! As an aside, we were catching a 6.45 ferry so we parked the car in line at 4.30, walked over for dinner at 5, and had time to eat and enjoy a short walk in town before getting back in the car for the ferry queue.

Absolutely delicious food. Service was wonderful. We ordered oysters, caprese salad, local catch, and steak. Everything was fresh and delicious. Restaurant and atmosphere was clean and neatly decorated. Highly recommend!!

The beautiful pictures they have on google get us in when visiting San Juan Island. We made reservations online and got confirmation a day ahead. So we went in on time but the receptionist told us it’s either sitting at the bar counter or waiting. So, after 10minutes waiting, we were offered to share a long table with a family of 4. We had a seat empty between us that gave us some privacy. However, after a while, they sent 2 more people jamming in and we were able to hear clearly each other’s conversation. When I asked about the waitress by pointing out the google picture, she didn’t even pause but said I have no idea! So, there wasn’t much help we were getting. Later on we found out they do have horseradish for the oysters but they don’t bring to you without asking. I’d say this is a place who wants to be high end but not meet the quality of food, service or atmosphere

The food and service were great. The ambience was not as expected...it was super loud with voices and rock n roll music. Not really very relaxing and hard to talk. Interesting juxtaposition of farm to table food and a noisy bar feel. Didn't really work for us.

Incredible heart and soul put into this food ? Thank you for sharing the local richness this area produces in such an elevated way. I look forward to coming back soon!

Delicious local fare and oysters on the waterfront. The service was super friendly and quick. The cocktails were both delicious and beautiful. Dessert of champagne and cotton candy was a fun end to the meal!

Fun place, great service, the raw oysters with flying fish caviar were divine, ditto the pink champagne and manila clams. We were sadly underwhelmed by the Thai Curry Oysters. While the oysters were cooked perfectly, not chewy but not too raw, the curry lacked flavor, texture and a true Thai spice profile. I'm hoping they fix that and next review will be 5 stars!!
