This place is always crowded - a testament to marketing! So, you must go there...b/c...everyone else is. Food is 'fine' - nothing special -- it's pub food. B/c it's typically crowded, expect slower service than you'd get just about anywhere else on the island. The atmosphere is (I guess) a crowded room full of other people talking...so don't expect to have conversations where you can hear each other. No scenic views or anything like that - just the wood and concrete walls. For lunch, expect to pay 20-30 with a glass of water. A 12 ounce beer costs 8.60 - wow! I guess they are curing cancer after all with it! So, lunch with a beverage is in the $30-35 range per person after tip/tax. For average food. For no ambience. For slower service. I go to the island 2x per week from Anacortes and 'eat around' at various places -- so I'm comparing this place to the ~15 other places I've eaten in Friday Harbor.

Great surprise! The CBJ burger is amazing — full of flavor and cooked just right. The beer was okay; I tried the Harbor, which was a bit too hoppy for my taste, but that’s just personal preference. Overall, the place is nice and clean, and the service was solid. Definitely worth a visit

We visit Friday Harbor every summer and have tried a few restaurants for when we arrive and are waiting for our camp site. We finally tried this place and I wish I had years ago! Appetizers are fantastic - best pretzel we’ve had in a long time. Kid friendly, great location and parking which was nice. Highly recommend.

We had a lovely dinner at San Juan Island Brewing Co. earlier this month. We did not have a reservation, but only waited about 20 minutes for a table. The food was good and the service was prompt. It was a hopping place so I'd recommend getting a reservation. The salads and pizzas were very good.

Highly impressed with the atmosphere of this area. I love that you can see the actual brewery through the windows of the bar. Food was amazing. I had the cbj burger and it was exactly as I had hoped it would be. A little spicy and a lot of flavor. Caesar Salad looked to be fresh and was just as crisp as you could hope. Staff was amazing and accommodating to our large group. Will eat here again.

liked this place just with one visit, good brews, v decently priced food - specially salad - we took beet small portion- that was generous for two of us. Hostess was v nice and understanding as kid already had chicken strips and her drink. Nice music ! relaxing place

It's been 6 years since I visited and I am still dreaming of that salmon sandwich. Just incredible. Still rock the brewery shirt to this day. Hoping to visit you all again when back on that side of the country!
