Really good food at a decent price. Only wish the portions were larger. We had dinner and breakfast here. There’s no place to sit and enjoy your meal so you gotta take it to go. Huge selection of ice creams and other sweets. We didn’t try them because it was so cold outside but next time, we will have to! Service is super friendly and food is served with a smile even though they are busy.
Kid-friendliness: Kids love treats so this is the place to go!
Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs to order window.

Quick friendly service and the coffee was good too. Would return. The prices didn’t seem too crazy either.

George, aka BLT connoisseur, gives his thumbs up approval of this iconic sandwich, grilled in butter, NOT merely toasted. Burger was great too and ham Sammie substantial. Super little sandwich shop and the sweets a hit too.
Thanks for the reasonable prices for a family of four so we didn’t have to decide between lunch OR a treat. Take your food down to the marina and you have yourself a perfect picnic.
# Disappointing Experience at Sweet Retreat and Espresso
⭐☆☆☆☆ (1 out of 5 stars)
I had a thoroughly unsatisfactory visit to Sweet Retreat and Espresso today. The issues began when I received a drink that was simply horrible - undrinkable, in fact. When I politely requested that they remake it, the staff refused.
But it gets worse. Instead of offering any kind of solution or even a refund, they proceeded to throw away the drink right in front of me! This level of wastefulness and disregard for customer satisfaction is shocking.
The staff's attitude was dismissive and unapologetic throughout the entire interaction. There was no attempt to understand my concerns or make things right.
I cannot recommend this establishment to anyone looking for quality beverages or decent customer service. Save your money and time - there are plenty of other cafes in the area that actually care about their customers and the products they serve.
Pros:
- None that I could find
Cons:
- Poor quality drinks
- Refusal to remake or refund unsatisfactory orders
- Wasteful practices
- Terrible customer service
- Dismissive staff attitude
In conclusion, Sweet Retreat and Espresso failed on every level during my visit. I won't be returning, and I advise others to steer clear as well.

Great food and service! Love stopping there for breakfast to go. I get the breakfast burrito with sausage which is absolutely delicious. Make sure you get it with the chipotle sauce. My brother and mom both got breakfast sandwiches which we equally good. We also got smoothies (you can pick 1 or 2 fruits for your smoothie), I got mango which was good, on the sweeter side but that was fine with me. If you are gluten free they do have gluten free bread for sandwiches, it’s franz gf seven grain bread. Also shoutout to the workers, they are always so nice and funny. Really adds the cherry on top

It’s a good place but not worth standing in a long line. The service is slow but food decent.
But again not worth the long wait. It’s just a good old normal sandwich and coffee

The cafe across the street recommended me this place and told us that they had really good low priced food and they were right, 7 dollars for a sandwich is a great price. The service was also amazing the guy working there was funny and nice. Thank you I’ll be coming back.
