We ate here last night and every dish we tried was delicious. We had the fettucini funghi (a highlight), king salmon with beans and arugula salad and hangar steak with potatoes and blistered peppers. For dessert we had the butterscotch budino. LOVED all of it.

Incredible! Knocked it out of the park with homemade pasta and delicious sauce. You know it’s great, when you keep thinking about it! After trying another big waterfront restaurant, there was no comparison. The Fettuccini Fungi and butterscotch desert were both, to die for. Highly recommend for quality, service and lovely ambiance.

So good. This is easily the best restaurant right in Friday harbor and obe of the top three on the Island. The owner/chef is just amazing putting together top notch fare at a really reasonable price point. Everything we ate and drank was amazing. There was also great live music!

We ordered Arancini and insalata primavera. They replaced beets with tomatoes in the salad because they had run out of beets (which the server mentioned before ordering). The Arancini was good. Also, they have discontinued weekend brunch.

I wanted to like this restaurant. I did. I/we even attempted several times within the last few months. It just looks so inviting from the outside! But between the (lack of) casual service and the unreasonable prices… the aesthetic vibe feel and the nice wine selection isn’t enough to make it worth the visit. Having previously worked in the restaurant industry, I tend to give restaurants a lot more grace and patience than most patrons… however, waiting 10-15 minutes to get acknowledged and have watered poured into your empty glasses for the first time feels like you’re an inconvenience to them. Actually, that’s exactly how we’ve felt each time… an inconvenience. And ordering counter service if you didn’t have a reservation is fine, if you want that type of dining experience. I do have to say, I did have a few nice dishes. But others fell short. For how much the bill ends up being, I’d prefer some consistency in good food & service. I lived in Italy and so I never try to compare my first hand experiences with Italian restaurants elsewhere… therefore, the best way to describe this is place is: American Italian restaurant with a hipster twist.

Great food but I had a reservation and still waited an hour to get my entrée, which was pasta served lukewarm. I was too hungry by that point to send anything back. We also had long waits at each step of the process: Greeting the host, waiting for drink orders, and waiting for food. The kitchen is small. I understand, but I also can’t give more than 3 stars for the experience.

If you’re looking for a place to eat in Friday Harbor you’ve found it. Best restaurant in San Juan island and the competition doesn’t even come close. Great food, good vibes and funny friendly staff. What more could you ask for? Definitely get a salad, pizza and a pistachio ice cream to really round out your dinner. I can’t wait to go back!
