Really imaginative combinations. You must try this!! My favorite is the mango roll. But everything I tried was delicious

I'm trying to figure out what the folks that gave this Fred Meyer sushi bar 5 Stars ate that I missed. I was driving late (too late to change course actually), and saw this place was open. When I realized it was a Fred Meyer I decided to try it, rather than go burger, or go hungry. It was what I thought it was; Fred Meyer sushi. I ate about half. So, in fact, I had sushi, and I'm still hungry. Should have gone with the burger.

An ideal location for a small but delicious sushi bar. Very interested chef special rolls and good sauces. The chef came out and spoke with us. Very friendly. A place I will return to when I’m out this way again.

I would normally never have grocery store sushi but I must admit I was very surprised at the freshness and choices available. I suddenly had an urge for sushi on a Friday night and all the restaurants had long wait times. When I saw this this place was close by we decided to give it a try. Going forward when I am in Gig Harbor I will stop and grab a roll, it's as good as any of the other good local sushi restaurants in the Tacoma area and it saves the bridge toll!

I don’t usually write reviews but I had to shout this place out. You would expect this place to just be the place you grab your spontaneous sushi while you’re at the grocery store, but Sam and Joy are so wonderful that I always feel like I’m being welcomed into their home!! The sushi always hits the spot, and I always leave in a good mood after talking to Joy and Sam. Highly recommend both the food and the people here ??

Listen up, I'm from New York and I've had plenty of different kinds of sushi in my life... but this place actually woke a part of me. All the ingredients, from fish to veggies to rice, are all super fresh! The rice is perfectly flavored, veggies taste like they were just harvested yesterday, and the fish just melt in your mouth. I know people typically don't have high expectations about grocery store sushi, but this place is better than any of the take out sushi I had in New York. I literally came back the next day to pick up more sushi for lunch. Sam and Joy are such cheerful and friendly folks - they have many regular customers and remember their orders. 20 out of 10, would choose this place if I had to pick one food to eat for the rest of my life.

Brought my family here for dinner because we have come here multiple times without complain until I decided to try their ramen. It was good except it is was on the dry side to the point that the noodles are way above the both. I asked if I could please have maybe a little broth which I offered to pay for as well if necessary. They refused citing each preparation comes with a packet and that is all it needs. My palate cannot take the ramen dry. To compromise I asked instead for some hot water. Still a no go and they chose instead take the food and not make me pay for it instead of resolving the issue which would have made me much delighted to enjoy it. Eventually, I had a chance to talk to the owner/manager to help me understand why they chose to do that and all I have gotten was a hint to go somewhere else and guess what, I will! These current management should not be in the food business with this kind of mindset.

The food is great here, with excellent service. Excellent and attractive sushi. The prices were a bit higher than average, but worth it.

This is not a full sushi restaurant. It's a place inside Fred Meyer. Drove around forever looking for it, to realize it was a grab n go sushi place inside the grocery store. So frustrating.

Listen, I don't know what kind of fish you've been considering to put inside your belly, but I gotta say the stuff they crank out from this secret spot will make all your deep water dreams come true. It's operated by a lovely couple who probably have been doing this their whole lives. You won't regret coming here, but if you do, that may be more because of you than the sushi. Nothing but net with this one.

Fresh sushi made by friendly folks at the local Fred's Supermarket. Better sushi, service, and price than at the sushi restaurant down the street! Hot Tip: Grab your sushi and head over to the wine/beer bar right across the isle. You can pay for your food there along with a delicious glass or two of local wine or beer. They're nice people here too!
