I cannot express this enough!!!! I was on a road trip back in early October and I was CRAVING BBQ. I googled this place and omg it’s way better than what you see. BBQ2U is so amazing! The staff are all so kind and amazing. I had my toddlers with me and they even gave them a little pig stuffy. My kids love them so much. The food is so much better than you’d think. It was to die for in my opinion. It was by far my favorite place I have had when coming to Washington. 1010% recommend!!!

The food was fine, mostly. I got the BBQ Boat and the sausage was the highlight. The potato salad tased like something I would get from the grocery store, which leads me to believe that they don't make their potato salad in house. The beans could have had more seasoning, but the small chunks of sausage was nice. The pulled pork was bland so I added their BBQ sauce, which was pretty decent. The sauce is a good balance for a vinegar based sauce. The cornbread was also dry. Needless to say I won't be going back.

Hello You

Our son was recently diagnosed with Celiacs disease and it’s been a struggle finding safe places to eat out. BBQ2U takes celiacs disease seriously by offering most of the meats gluten free, as well as no cross contamination. The sauces are gluten free as well. Staff is more than happy to accommodate my son (which is not always the case at busy eateries). Thank you so much!!!!

Aloha!! Man, if you're rollin' through Gig Harbor and your stomach's screamin' for real-deal BBQ, slam on the brakes at BBQ2U – this joint is straight fire! I crushed their brisket platter, brisket chili, a loaded brisket sandwich, and some killer fries. That brisket? Epic bark, killer smoke ring, and it melts in your mouth!

Pit boss Tank rolled out, shared his process, the Rub, wood, the whole low 'n' slow magic – made the spot feel like a BBQ brotherhood. Total slam dunk, Bra. 5 stars, I'm comin' back for round two!

They have the best Texas barbeque in Pierce county, maybe even in Washington.

Some of the best bbq in Washington. I have tried many places since moving here and BBQ2U hits the mark. They are worth driving from Kent to enjoy.

So had a serious BBQ craving after showing houses all day, googled and found this place and it did not disappoint at all! Got the brisket , ribs and some potato salad.
1. Brisket - perfect bark! Smoked to perfection and juicy as hell!
2. Tender tender tender! Great smoke flavor but not over powering.
3. Potato salad was excellent , could use a little more salt but was well made not mushy. Potatoes had a little firmness and just the right amount of mayonnaise! My hubby even said reminded him of his mom’s who was from Texas coming from him that is serious compliment from him especially since he has never liked a restaurant potato salad.
We even liked the sauce ALOT! and we never like the sauce!
This is definitely a do over even though I will be coming from Seattle, it’s worth it!

Hill County style barbecue. If you can't be in the Hill Country (Austin) this is a nice substitute.

I have been going here for years, and this has to be the best place around for BBQ. Always friendly, and always great food. If you are near Gig Harbor and want good BBQ, stop here. We have had their pulled pork, turkey, chicken thighs, and brisket. My favorite is the brisket . They also give a Military discount!!

I think this might just be the best place to get brisket BBQ north of Texas. Tender, smoky and melts in your mouth. I'm not sold on their sides, I think people can legitimately disagree about potato salads, but brisket . . .. everyone concurs: theirs is the real deal..

Not TX BBQ but meets TX average!
Fatty brisket was moist and fatty but a bit underwhelming and not as smoky as I’m used to. Pull pork looks good but a bit dry and needed sauce for taste. Sausage is good.

Note on my rating system: Sharing this as I believe many might assume a 3-star review indicates a negative experience.

5 stars: Exceptional! Outstanding food, service, and/or experience—well worth traveling for. (For example, we often drive from San Antonio to Austin just for Uchi.)
4 stars: Surpasses expectations in terms of food, service, and/or ambiance.
3 stars: Solidly good or meets expectations. I would revisit any place rated 3 stars or higher.
2 stars: Falls below acceptable standards for food or service.
1 star: Best to avoid.
