Ben & Jerry’s

I've been coming here for a few years now and decided it's finally time to write a review after visiting today. The staff here is always friendly, the ice cream is always on point, and the shop is always clean. I'm particularly impressed when I come on busy days and the staff remains calm and friendly even when the line is going out the door. My favorite is the cute short one with curly hair. She is always smiling and upbeat. Also love the wood spoons.

6/20/25: First time here and the younger blonde girl was super nice and engaging. However, all their tables were completely dirty and the other tall brunette female employee was wearing pajama bottoms. Just a bad look overall. Great ice cream though!

I ordered a birthday cake from the Gig Harbor location. The clerk opened the box and right away we noticed that the frosting piping around the top of the cake was wavy and a section had slipped off the cake. The clerk said if we wanted it fixed, we would have to wait 20 minutes for her to fix it. We didn't have time to wait so we took the cake. That night we took it out of the box and noticed the horrible job! The frosting piping that slid down was almost touching the bottom frosting. It was uneven all the way around. It was wide in the front and narrow in the back. It looked like a grade school kid decorated it. It was embarrassing to show this to our guests. This cake cost us $50!

UPDATE: The owner of the Gig Harbor shop reached out to me to apologize for the mishap. I appreciate his show of concern to make it right and customer service--something that seems to be lacking with many stores these days.

It’s funny how I’m often surprised when people greet you coming through the door with a smile. And genuinely seem to be interested and happy to serve you. I love this is happening in this particular store. Also, if you’ve never had Ben & Jerry’s ice cream, I have to say I think it’s probably the best ice cream out there. There’s a reason why it is why it’s got so bigin grocery stores and everything else. But there’s nothing like going in for a scoop with your friends and family. Don’t expect supercheap ice cream, that’s not really what this place is about. But it’s more about the experience and having fun with friends and family. I’m surprised I’ve never been here, I’ve been to the one in San Francisco, which was super fun. This year in Gig Harbor I’m gonna be going more. Thanks.

There was spilled ice cream and done string on the floor when I walked in. I mentioned it to the staff, they acknowledged that I said something and that was it. I ate my ice cream and it still wasnt picked up… the two girls thought it was more important to be on their phones… not impressed!

I am very pleased with the service I received! I have a nut and dairy allergy and expressed that to the workers and they went out of their way to get a new box of gloves, and clean utensils and a blender so there was no worry of cross contamination. I understand there's always a risk when eating out with food allergies but I appreciated the caution that was taken here. I will go out of my way to come here when I'm having a sweet tooth!
