Gig Harbor Marina & Boatyard

Just as the season was kicking off, I suddenly needed repairs that required a haul-out—never ideal timing. Thankfully, Gig Harbor Marina & Boatyard came through big time. They were able to haul out the boat, complete the necessary repairs, and get me back in the water in record time. The crew was efficient, professional, and clearly knows what they’re doing. Truly impressed. My boating season is officially saved—huge thanks to the team at Gig Harbor Marina!

Best yard service experience in 40 years of boating. From Emily’s immediate response and 30 minute scheduling to Pepper waiting dockside with tools and parts. It was a flawless, responsive and skillful service experience.

Everyone at this organization is friendly and very, very capable. I especially was impressed with Mark, who runs the big machine and Kevin, and his mechanical and people skills. Everyone has great attention to detail. The office girls are extremely friendly and helpful as well. And the prices are fair.

Had bottom paint, teak work (outsourced?) , prop (remove & sent to prop shop), and electrical work done.
They're reasonably priced, do excellent work, and don't nickel and dime you every chance they get. Patrick and the entire staff are GREAT.

My wife and I had gelcoat, striping, and bottom paint touch up done at GHMB. We also had an outside contractor complete stainless steel welding repair.
The boatyard staff from the office to the techs on the yard are personable, professional, and experienced. They communicated throughout the process and completed job on time and under estimate. Highly recommend. We will be back.

First experience at Gig Harbor Marine and Boatyard. Given the exceptional service, this is now our go-to boat yard. Friendly, professional personnel, frequent communication, exceptionally fair pricing, and thorough work. Upon picking up our boat, one of the techs explained the service that was completed and two wonderful young men provided a complimentary wash-down (a first in 27 years of boating). It was reminiscent of the largely bygone mantra: “a honest day’s work for an honest price”!!

Patrick, to the ALWAYS EXEMPLARY customer service from the master of the lift, Mark, and the rest of the yard crew, I couldn't be more pleased with this last haul-out! This boatyard always exceeds our expectations and have never been anything short of the epitome of professionals from the time of making the appointment to the time they launch the boat back into the water! As new owners of an older boat we had several issues that needed attention. Patrick and his entire team, most notably Kevin and Mike, are generous with their extensive knowledge and experience. Their willingness with explanations and advisements were deeply appreciated. They have earned our confidence and will always be our first and only reference for keeping Fellowship in good working order.

Thanks to Gig Harbor Marina and Boatyard for a successful winter haul out to take care of some big projects. Replaced seacocks, glassed over unused through-hulls, two coats of bottom paint and the props were sent out for rebalancing (because a ding was discovered when the boat came out of the water). The work was completed in less time than expected and we did the sea trial a week early. On the trial eerie sound developed in the rear of the boat. Back in the boatyard, Patrick knew right away that we had "singing props" – which was new to us. He worked with Tacoma Propeller to have the props tuned. A subsequent sea trial presented a residual hum on the port propeller – chamfering the propeller blade is sometimes more of an art than a science. The Boatyard hauled her out again and Tacoma Propeller did the fine tuning on the spot. We were back in the water in the afternoon, the sound gone. Thanks to both for dealing with the issue quickly and under warranty.
