Gig Harbor Brewing: Harbor Taproom

Great service, nice atmosphere, with great views of the harbor. Beers were all great.

No food served, but you can bring food in. NOTE: 21 AND OVER

We were doing some bar hopping along the harbor and this place was just OK. Glad to see they have some NA options. We all tried the local beers of course, the IPA and the Blonde. They were meh. There are adirondack chairs outside and the view from the north side of the wraparound deck is lovely, we watched a wedding take place in the park below.

Our group of 30 people had amazing time! Very friendly, we had the best bartender on earth! We will be back!

Love their beer, it’s five stars, e.g. Racing Rooster Red, Below Deck Porter. Have purchased kegs and the process is easy. Staff here are very nice, patient, and helpful. Some fun events like trivia night, their weekly e-mail is creative. Some good promotions. Hours are a bit limited. The Gig Harbor taproom does not serve food, but allows food to be brought in e.g. from the excellent Trolley cafe next door. It’s relaxing and fun to have a beer here.

Parking: They have 2 parking spaces, 1 is an “accessible” space only, this can be helpful when you pick up a keg. Parallel parking on street is free and typically you can get a space close by.

Bartender was friendly, and we decided to sit inside at the bar and talk with the locals.

Met a swimmer of Olympic potential and good conversation was had.

Tender helped with local next stop suggestions. Great smiles and affordable beverages made this a great place to visit.

I managed to randomly come into this bar. And I felt so welcome and it was just nice. There was no weird vibes even though I'd never been there.
Ended up meeting one the gentlemen who actually brews the beer. Very much enjoyed my visit.

Brews weren’t terrible, but our DD got kicked off the deck for ‘not ordering anything’ so would not recommend. I mean. Unless you want to just drive drunk.

Bartender was rude from the moment we walked in asking where we could sit. Won’t come back.

Nice place, but was bummed they didn't really have a view of the marina/water. Stopped while in town. Beer tender was super nice, but their beer didn't do much for me.
